I liked what I saw from Grace King… they have a chance to break theirs later this year against either Riverdale or Higgins

the only varsity win Thrive has ever had as an LHSAA member is a forfeit win over Varnado in their first season.

They were like the 9 seed in 2017 when they had to travel up to J-H in the 2nd round. Think they were ranked fairly high the next year too An imperfect storm of reasons. Things had been on a slow decline since about 2013 and 2017 was the last decent year before things bottomed out last year. COVID concerns exacerbated in house and outside issues, participation dropped to less than 20, a winless season in 2019, and it all ended up with a canceled season and the near complete demise of football in Elton. Seems to have gotten very close to dropping the program completely for a minute there. Things are looking up, new principal is an Elton native and was head coach at Iowa in some of their best years and is committed not just to football but all athletics at EHS, current and future. Volleyball started this season and more sports are coming, have more than doubled the amount of players since this time last year, great coaching staff, players are back. It might be a slow rise but when you're at rock bottom, nowhere to go but up

I thought Southwood carried the torch on this one, but congrats to the 6 schools ahead of them😳 Heck, at 32, who’d want to start winning now. Sorry, bad joke

Courtesy of 14-0 Productions 32-North Central 18-Elton 16-Grace King 15-Thrive Academy 13-Central Lafourche 12-Ringgold 11-Southwood 9-Lusher Charter 9-Cohen 8-Houma Christian 32? Ouch SO BASICALLY, THEY HAVEN'T WON A GAME IN 3 YEARS. For the 2022 season, North Central's schedule better look like this: Thrive Academy Ringgold Tensas Beekman Sicily island Louisiana school of the Deaf & Blind AARP high school Lebeau Preschool

Yep. 32 game losing streak and an 8 year streak of making the playoffs…simultaneously! Only in Louisiana 😂

There's a few teams that didn't win a regular season game and have made the playoffs certain years. Has any of them ever won their first playoff game, which in effect, would be their first win of the season?

I believe Winnfield went winless a few years back and then beat South Beau in the first round They went 1-9 and beat Welsh in the 1st round I looked back that year their one win came week 10 And they did proceed to lost in the next round by a score of 20-14, so there was damn near a 1-9 quaterfinals team Also looking through, that was the year Jesuit won in D1, a 15 seeded North Webster made it to the semis in 3A, and Peabody football made it to the 2nd round in 4A

Man…Ferriday being on this list less than 2 calendar years removed from winning a state championship (and not even being challenged by anyone within 2 classifications of them) is just unreal.
And they aren’t just losing, they’ve been shut out in 5 of their 6 games this year. Crazy
