Round 1 ding ding loser has to Wear other teams jersey and sit amongst his own fans and Cheer for other team in Kinder vs ND this year Lol, kinder is starting to look like pretty intimidating place for me! It's been while since I got my whipped. LATigerFan might've save my like locking the other thread. Lol. Some people are just so sensitive. But I take comfort that our buddy John has my back!

Awesome! Thanks for making this thread and I really hope you continue to delete split talk from non split threads. Best of luck to Notre Dame this year. Classy coach, classy program. I'll be pulling for you guys in the select bracket.

They tattle Sounds like someone is mad about being put in a play pen, but that's where you belong when you can't play with others...or the cry room in church take your pic. This statement is sort of the essence behind the whole debate. You are a Kinder guy (non-select) telling others where they belong. It's narcissistic. Indy just states what alot of others are thinking.

I have no problem discussing it in the proper context. My problem isn't your feelings about the split, its your incessant need to make every post a split conversation. Yesterday there was two posts, one about Oakdale Middle School burning down and another about most intimidating stadiums. You used both as an excuse to take shots at public schools. THAT IS MY PROBLEM WITH YOU...not your stance on the split.

Go back and find one instance of me being pro split. My problem is you and your comments. The split is what it is. It's not going to be changed by your constant need to spread negativity on a message board.

I actually thought what Indy said was kinda funny and actually if I remember correctly someone beat him to the punch he just added to everyone would get along with Indy a lot more if you understand him and where he was coming from in the first place he actually put me in my place on here before and when he explained it I saw things from a whole other angle. As far as turning every Kinder thread into a split conversation yea it is kinda aggravating but not because just him everyone feels they have to argue with him. Once everyone realizes he is just poking the best everyone may get along but he does have valid points. Week scheduled and week classifications helped lead to a dome trip. Sure we are proud of our boys and their accomplishments shouldn't be diminished but the one fact remains one thing is gunna separate them from the 67 and 78 state championship teams and that is a "Yea but"

There is nothing wrong with bringing up a comment about the split in a post that merits it. It got to the point though no one could have a regular football conversation. A new member post a good thread about stadiums and it somehow turns into a split argument and insult battle. I didn't want the split either but if someone ask who's going to win district 4-3a I'm not going to reply by saying many's principle sucks lol. Like I said there are times the split talk will come up it's part of life now but let's not turn every post into a split battle royale.

I am no less proud of either. If you know about Kinder, than you know that the 66, 75, 79, and 80 teams were probably better, man for man, than the teams that won state, but that doesn't diminish the two that we did win.

The bottom line the split is here to stay.
Doesnt matter if you like it, hate it, are indifferent to it, its staying. Instead of always complaining, moaning, bellyaching, and name calling why dont we focus on a way to fix what needs to be fixed and make the LHSAA the best it can be for the kids. It doesnt matter what the adults want or what makes them happy, they are not the ones playing. The LHSAA will never go back together, lets accept it and move on. As soon as we ALL do that we can begin working toward the goal of improving our association.

It needed a few things ironed out, like distances from major towns, but I thought it was a good start. Hard to compete with a 2a school in the heart of a major city.

I know the success metric has been brought up a lot, but if you have a two year run of good kids and get moved up to the next class. The playmakers graduate, then you pretty much have an average school playing up, it could be a long 2 years. Especially if you are in a tough district. Sterlington was actually a 3a school playing down last year, but it will be interesting to see how they make the jump to the next class. If they lost a lot of kids, it will be somewhat like moving up (success metric). If they lost no one, then it wouldn't be a good example.

I dont think its fair for a 1A or 2A school in the middle of BR or NO to play a school that has a town population of 200. I thought it was the best of both worlds, but it did need a few things worked out. Unfortunately some adults dont want to compromise. I hope they try to go with it again.

Part of my issues with the split is how the rules miraculously changed right after. The big reason was zones vs no zones, denying or accepting enrollment, etc. now all of a sudden publics (not all) have no zones or follow zones. Church point has 5 times the amount of out of Parish students than ND has. Myself and others mentioned many other cases. It's undeniable. The principals had the gall to vote that publics can legally recruit and accept up to 25% of out of zone players and remain non select. If that's not the lamest ic rule in the history of LHSAA I dot know what is. I know I irritate some of you but nothing personal. The info I get from Kinder mainly comes from your so called friends and neighbors. The info on Many is easier, friends sent me emails by the devil himself compliments of the freedom of info act. The fact that kinder and Many and God knows how many others have out of zone kids is legal now, so my beef isn't with y'all but the numb nut rules, y'all just happen to take it personal. We will never have perfect level playing fields, that's life. Evangel and Curtis never belonged in 2A. But what happens now? Two more teams that are benefitting from ic rules, ok in a few years everyone cries, change the rules, move them up. On and on. In 4A public there are over 50 teams, everyone on the forum can pick at least one but probably both of the finalist before the season starts. Is it magic, coaching, breeding, or rules? And I know I'm hard on some of you, but like my dad says "it's for your own good"

You of all people should know how that goes. If I believed all the rumors circulated about the Shelvin transfer alone, I would have enough "dirt" to fill a teen age gossip column. Instead, I look at what my Dad told me "nothing breeds hate like success" and take it for what it's worth.

It's interesting how the pro split folks are just so sick of hearing about it.
But, before we had the split, we had to hear about how we needed it. And we had to hear about it all the time. For years we heard all the whining. Honestly, we have the split because of all the whining for years and years.
And now, we have it, and the no-split folks are basically censored on the issue.
We can't speak out mind, even if relatively clean, because someone may get offended. everybody gets all up in their feels and then the thread or comment magically goes away.
I understand (though I disagree) with keeping the language mostly clean, but when you can't even call a chubby liar from Many a chubby liar from Many, then it's just silly.

Nobody said we had to just drop all split talk. When a post is about intimating stadiums though there is no need to turn it into a kinder sucks and is a cheater thread. People are starting to get aggravated that they can't even discuss actual sports. I realize the split is here and will and should be discussed but not on every single thread.
