It has merit. I'd rather see a dynasty type system that segregates powerhouses from the general population. Have a large school and small school super class. Then 4 classes for everybody else.

I'd like to see 6 classes. The top 32 including those who play up. Isolate The smallest 32. Then, Divide the remainder by four. and then tee it up and play football.

With the rule change that it takes a two thirds vote to make a change to the current system I see no way anything in regards to select/non-select EVER changes. I see no way we get more than two thirds to agree on ANY PROPOSAL.

They were all taking turns flying the Boieng 747, all capable. But when it was time to eat they only had 7 bananas. Instead of figuring out a plan that worked out well for all of them, the monkeys all fought for the 7 bananas. They ultimately crashed and burned. The moral of the story is that those monkeys were well trained, ours aren't.

so a kid 5 minutes from the NOLA CBD can live on the other side of Jackson Barracks and go to a "rural" school... This will be fun Really don't want it in the highest classification though

It's hard to get two thirds plus one to agree on anything.

As long as they allow anyone to play up that wants to.

Not sure who is putting this up, but maybe this could work. Notre Dame came up with the plan. I don't like 1A (Rural D4) being all the way up to 321 students. That's hard for a small school to overcome, very hard. Anyone under 200 is at a severe disadvantage. I'm sure Many will be for it. You can just mail them the Rural D4 trophy every year. On a positive note for this proposal it will only require a majority to be put in place since it's only for football, and not part of the constitution.

I agree on rural d4, forgot about the numbers from the video.

I agree on rural d4, forgot about the numbers from the video. One of the earlier proposals had 3 metro and 3 rural (I think) but they had an "iron man" league which had like all schools under 100 or so together. I liked that one. That might keep football in South Caneron, Gueydan, etc.
