Yea you right, anything can happen, beating lab down 2 of our best players was a huge confidence booster, I don’t see too many teams matching what lab had together as far as the size and speed together but any given Friday it’s up Carter and who else was out? Edward didn’t play

Logansport knocked Kentwood around last year. They was the better team last year and didn’t need 20 to win. But that was last year so 🤷🏾♂️, so I stick to my prediction, any team that match their athletes, they will not score 20, and yea the better team won “that night”

There's not a 1A team that could beat 4A Plaqumine. WSJ passed the 5 minute mark in 4th down 34-28 and lost 41-28 (Plaqumine scored under a minute left). WSJ can only beat WSJ in 1A. WSJ plays their average game they when. Any other team in 1A play their average game against WSJ and WSJ embarrasses them.

FLUKE win 2 tipped passes resulted in 2 tds for L'sport. Plus a bunch of turnovers by the roos that night. L'sport did take advantage of those gifts. Cudos to them on the 16 Championship. So all,of those turnovers were a fluke?? Nah, better team won that night and ended up being state champs. Swallow your pride. Can't win em all. Be lucky that y'all are in the mix year in and year out. He saying be lucky we in the mix like Logansport been in the mix these past two decades lol, 1 trophy since 95’ now they a powerhouse! Be humble lol

Be humble lol I see what you did there. Logansport has one trophy in 21 years. Since that is the criteria you used to measure a team, what if I told you Kentwood has one only 1 trophy in the past 18 years? Not really lighting the world on fire with those numbers. You may want to try to spin it another way to show your superiority.

West st John has a really good team and could win the whole thing but they will not embarrass either OG or Kentwood and probably haynesville. I have a feeling Logansport will give them a good game in the semis.

I have a feeling Logansport will give them a good game in the semis. I don't see any of the top 5 going quietly. I expect Logansport to beat Varnado in a close game and play West St. John tough. I also think Haynesville will hang with Kentwood for a half and then they'll run away with it. I do think Oak Grove will play Kentwood tough. The difference between Oak Grove and Haynesville is that Oak Grove has the o-line to move the football and play keep away. But Kentwood has athletes and speed everywhere. It's going to come down to who can impose their will. I think Kentwood should win by a few. I really don't see anyone beating West St. John. But, I thought the same thing in 2013 and Mangham ran through them. Here's my predictions for the significant matchups that should play out, barring an upset: Logansport 26 Varnado 21 West St. John 35 Logansport 28 Haynesville 19 Kentwood 40 Oak Grove 21 Kentwood 26 Championship: West St. John 28 Kentwood 27

I can't give Varnado those kind of props but they did beat a pretty decent St. Helena team. So I'm gonna say is go to some South Louisana sites and check out WSJ. Y'all will be surprised. Better yet find someone from St.James or Plaqumine. I think they would give you guys an honest take on WSJ.

8 of the 9 teams Varnado played won at least 6 games. They had the one of the hardest schedules in the state and went 6-3 including wins @ 2a (8-2) St. Helena, @ 2a (7-3) Mangham, and 2a (6-4) Pine. The WSJ game was 18-0 at the half, with 6 of WSJ's points coming from a scoop and score botched punt. The other 12 were set up by deep bombs bc Varnado shut down WSJ's run game in the 1st half. I think it's fair to say that the home team for the Logansport/Varnado game has the best chance of winning.

Varnado schedule was ok. Win/ loss of your opponents is very unreliable. Because of the sheer number of teams in south la you have a lot of not very good teams with winning records

Both D1 commits (QB and RB) played and they got beat 34-6 at home so it wasn't the missing players. Every time I see someone post about that game, they miss more and more starters lol now it's up to half. By the end of the season they will have only played with 10 players. Varnado was missing their best LB and wingback also.

Varnado had their best player on off and def on the sideline. 5 "contributors" won't make up for 30 points when St. Helena's 2 best skill players were playing. You seem to have a personal vendetta against Varnado or something with as much negativity you talk about them on here. Go back and look at your post history.

The next few weeks will decide all of this. Either WSJ is unbelievably good or Varnado is the same Varnado of last year. If Varnado and Logansport meet up in the quarters that game will tell you all you need to know.

Having two (2) separate divisions in Class 1A makes absolutely no sense. These would be great playoffs this year! The split makes this a lose / lose for both sides this season (every season in 1A). No private school dominance in this division, never has been.
Would be good to have some legitimate playoffs in 1A, maybe one day. Until then playoff football in our state will continue to be a joke.
Have the publics started handing out playoff participation certificates yet...Ha!

You do realize that some of the privates voted for the split right. And some publics votes against. Even combined the semis would be the same. 4 public schools
