Well Lab has always played a tough non district schedule. And that’s the way we like it. By the time we get to district, the game has slowed down a lot for us. Our kids are battle tested and ready to win a championship. Yeah we may get beat to death in non district but that won’t matter in December when we’re holding that trophy. Correct me if i'm wrong but I don't remember yalls schedule ever being like it has the last couple years. Not to this level anyway Seems like it was always tough but there aren't 5 5A teams with tougher schedules than yall lately. You could put together the toughest schedule in 1-A and it still could be about 50% less less difficult than what yall have now lol. Man we played IMG in 2015. And was scheduled to play them again in 2016 but a hurricane stopped it. We had a home and home with Destrehan in 2014 and 2015 I think. We had planned on playing Parkveiw every year like UHigh. It’s good for BR football. The Scotlandville game was added as a classic game sponsored by SU Lab, LSU, and Atlanta Falcon stand out Chuck Wiley. Scotlandville had been ruining from us since 2006 when Lab and Chad Jones destroyed them. But everybody in BR is playing each other these days. Which is good.

Yeah i'm referring to like back in 90's and 80's. It at least seems like yall took it to a whole new level in the 2010's lol

In the early 90s we were terrible. Lost to the deaf school twice. Mid to late 90s we started winning but the big schools were afraid to play. We played St. John in a non district game during that time and they had a RB that rushed for like 800 yards on us. We could always schedule a few non district games against 1A and 2A contenders but not big schools. These days the big schools want to play. So we play them. Our kids want to see how they match up against the big schools.

As long as y'all aren't losing to many starters that's awesome that y'all can compete with them

We have a little depth. But not like UHigh and Scotlandville. I think we’re equal with Parkview.

I know the chances are slim but what gameplan would you run. I would think run it as much as you can behind the big boy and eat the clock and keep it out of their hands. Maybe take a play action shot every now and then if you can draw them. What's you thoughts

What's you thoughts That would be my strategy. Our o-line has good size. Ty Davis and Charvis Thornton are pretty talented backs. Just run the ball. Throw it ever so often to make them stay honest. But we need to run the ball and keep them off of the field. But the game is at UHigh. And referees don’t do a good job of officiating our O-Line. So look for a lot of holding penalties and 15 yard personal foul penalties on our O-line if we gain any momentum. And if you think I’m kidding, ask anyone about playing at UHigh.

Great job as always Raven. Congrats on the win for the Eagles last week.
On a side note. ACH broke a 27 game losing streak against Ridgewood a few years back. Really enjoyed playing against them and Ecole, really good people and class programs. Would like to see both of those schools be able to build up their programs.
Lions did a great job on offense against Springfield (passed for 441 yards), just couldn't stop them. Game was much closer than the final indicated. Should be a good test for the Lions this week. Ben Franklin was solid last year and had some decent athletes, just made a few too many mistakes last year against us. I expect a close contest again.
