Can’t help to much Like I said it’s 3 top 5 teams Two who were in dome last year and other who would have been lol Very good possibility all three from one district can be in dome this year That is a serious possibility Has that ever happened ? Ever? Anyone know? I realize not since the split but even let’s say in semifinals Ever 3? Best 1A district in the state and it’s not even close!!! Hey I'm not arguing with yall on that lol. 6-1A is definitely the best district this year and last year for that matter. And you are probably right that it isn't even that close, unless OCS, Delhi or both are better than I think but I'm not sure either one is quite on that level this year.

You heard it here first. Kentwood district champs Not like u went out on a huge limb there There are 3 top 5 teams in the district lol Kentwood certainly good enough to win it lol This i might argue with slightly. If you said 3 top 5ish teams I would have agreed lol. I would say yall have 2 top 5 top teams and another team that might be top 5. Not to take anything away from AC they very well might be a top 5 team but OG, Haynesville, WSJ, Logansport, and LCA all have arguments too.

Wasn’t talking all included top 5 that is nonsense nowadays anyway There’s no way to prove it so I don’t use it I’m talking in terms of there respective divisions That’s the only way things can be proven nowadays I’d love for it to be combined but it isn’t and never will be again So I stand by my statement There are 3 top 5 teams no ish about it

Still getting over injuries at ACH. Fisher is a team the Liins can beat if they play well. Lion QB Zachary Diez has thrown for 1200 yards so far which is tremendous.
Defense is improving each week, just need to keep working at it and hopefully continue to see some positive results.
Really great job as usual Raven. Glad St John is starting to find their footing again.

Week 5 already... This season is flying by. Enjoy it while you can. Ascension Catholic @ Covenant ChristianThe Bulldogs take on their first D4 opponent this week when they travel to Guidry Stadium on the campus of Nicholls State to face the Covenant Christian Lions. Both teams come in undefeated and ranked in the sportswriter's top 10 for 1A. On paper that should mean this is going to be a decent game. It won't be. The Lions have the 2nd weakest strength of schedule of any D4 team, and will get exposed Friday by ACHS. ACHS 48 Covenant Christian 8 Ascension Christian vs FisherThe Lions got into the win column last week beating Westminster Christian. I don't think Fisher is as good as Westminster, and the Lions defense could match-up better against the Gators. ACS 28 Fisher 8 East Iberville vs Houma ChristianThe Warrior of Houma Christian have padded their schedule almost as much as Covenant Christian. They get a surprise this week when they visit the rejuvenated Tigers of East Iberville. East has not played the strongest schedule either, the difference this year though is that the Tigers are winning those games. They'll struggle again when they get to district play, but they're good enough to beat Houma. East Iberville 34 Houma Christian 20 Kentwood @ BroadmoorThe Buccaneers play their second 6-1A opponent in as many weeks when they host the Kangaroos in Baton Rouge after losing to the Southern Lab Kittens last week. Broadmoor has improved a bit since last season, but it won't be enough to rangle the Roos. Kentwood 38 Broadmoor 20 Southern Lab vs Parkview BaptistAnother week, another tough opponent for the Kittens. Parkview has lost 4 tough games to start the season, all of them against teams ranked in the top 20 statewide (Maxpreps rankings). Lab sits ranked at #21. Can the Kittens keep their lofty ranking, which is the highest rank for any 1A or D4 school? I believe they can and they will. Southern Lab 27 Parkview Baptist 21 St. John @ Highland BaptistThe Eagles lost a heartbreaker last week in the final seconds of the game against Covenant Christian. Self-inflicted mistakes cost the Eagles that game, but those issues can be corrected and will be this week. Highland Baptist was one of the teams we had a chance to beat last year but let that game slip away too. We won't make the same mistake again. St. John 40 Highland Baptist 14 White Castle vs West St. JohnThe Bulldogs take a break from the highers classification opponents and drop back into 1A competition. Unfortunately they drop back into the arms of the defending state champion Rams. While they don't appear to be quite as tough as last season, the Rams still have the firepower and talent to get the win in White Castle against an improving Bulldog squad. White Castle 8 West St. John 30 Well, all district teams won this week except White Castle, which was to be expected with them playing the Rams. East Iberville's defense did better than I thought they would shutting out Houma Christian 27-0 and Ascension Christian put a whipping on Fisher. Lab and Kentwood looked good taking out 4A and 5A competition respectively. Ascension Catholic took care of business against Covenant Christian while St. John took it to an under-manned Highland Baptist team. District play starts next week. Now things really get interesting.
