I am hearing there is interest from both sides of the equation, Bergeron stepped down to take job within the administration. I am not going to say its a 100% done deal, but it basically just needs the final say so from the higher ups.

He can go back to his alma mater and build the program up exactly how he wants to. Any idea as to when they will Name the new head coach?

Vandebilt Catholic needs a Head Coach Trosclair is local to Vandy and EDW. I can see this being a steal for either school. He is a winner and can surely help those programs tremendously. He is a coach that can get 11 cents out of a dime if you get my drift.

I could see him being interested in all three of the jobs. EDW Parkview Vandebilt

Just a hunch, nothing factual in that He’s a graduate of one school and a former employee of the other. They would be crazy not to want him as their head coach in my opinion. You could be right. These are two rival high schools that somewhat compete for the same kids to a degree. This should be interesting.

He is also a fantastic pitching coach. Great motivator.

Wasn’t he the pitching coach last year for the first time and the baseball team finally got over the hump and won a state championship with him calling pitches? Dudes been to 3 championships in 2 years. Seems like a winner to me.

And he’s an alum of the school? I’m surprised they’re even opening the job up.

Even when you know who you are giving the job to it is usually opened just so they can say they interviewed people. Many times it is just a formality. I can see Drey doing well at EDW and it would be a good hire. Hopefully he can take what happened at AC and learn and grow from that experience. Best of luck to him.

What you mean by that? The whole forced resignation thing, rumors, newspaper article. While not the same I have been through similar things. While it isn't good to go through things like that it is the unfortunate reality of coaching (and life in general). Politics come into play and outside forces (parents, boosters, administration) can create unfair situations. He seems like a really good coach and person that just got caught in a bad situation. I find that, while negative, going through those things are really instrumental in growing as a coach. Some of the best coaches I've ever met have all talked about growing from negative situations. Very hard to really grasp things like this until you have gone through it. I was very impressed by his letter to the team. For such a young coach it showed a lot of maturity. I think he will use what happened and become a better coach because of it (not saying he was a bad coach by any stretch). I do wish him the best of luck, he has a tremendous future ahead of him.

Well written. It's funny you say politics because politics absolutely does not exist at Ascension Catholic. Everything else you wrote was spot on.

He went to back to back state titles and got canned because it was the principals time of the month and she was on a power trip? You sound clueless sometimes man. Didn’t nothing happen to that man.

My sources tell me Drey Trosclair will not get the E D White or Vanderbilt job. Your sources couldn’t tell you how to spell Vandebilt? Vanderbilt is an SEC college in Tennessee. Moving on.... Your sources say he won’t get the job at his alma mater or at his former employer after what he did in the 4 years he was head coach at AC? You care to elaborate on why your “sources” think this?

You answered your own question of what happened to him. He was forced to resign in a bad situation. Never said he did anything wrong. Not sure what I ever did to you in a past life but seriously relax man. I'm not trying to attack Drey. I actually feel for the man and want him to do well. I know what its like to be in that situation. Nothing you can do except move on and learn from the experience. I have no doubt he will land on his feet and be successful.

How’d you get your hands on his letter to his team? It was posted on here. Also Donaldsonville is very small. Like an old saying goes "If you cough at 2:45 by 3:00 someone at The Chance knows you have a cold" louisianasportsline.proboards.com/post/116461Vanderbilt is an SEC college in Tennessee. To be fair, I also doubt that Vanderbilt is hiring Drey. He will probably have to go to LC or Nicholls before an SEC school will hire him. Maybe an option for him......
