looking at the standings and seeing the runs scored, Caldwell must have some serious offense scoring 85 runs in 6 games, that's averaging over 14 runs a game,

Well i wouldn't say that. I would be willing to bet they were both 3 inning games. There have been several high scoring games in the district with Caldwell and Bolton i think having a game that looked like a football score 19-17

Even if there is how does that make your team better. Either he wants to pad the stats for district or he took the Bolton loss to heart. Regardless it seems like a classless act but everyone has their own opinions..

There is still a 15 run rule after 3, 10 run rule after 5. If I had to guess, Caldwell scored most of those runs in the first two innings of the game. What is the coach supposed to do? It is what it is, the coach from Peabody could have easily forfeited after getting down by that wide of margin but didn't.

JV/Freshman, maybe even hold runners.. just a few options, but you are correct Peabody could’ve forfeit

Actually the handbook doesn't mention the 15 after 3 rule for baseball, it only mentions being up 10 after 4.5 innings. I thought it was still a rule too, maybe its umpire's discretion? We had a softball game this year that was 12-0 before the first out was recorded and was called 25-0 after 2. Our coach in that game went thru the lineup once, then started using other players. I felt bad because during that 19 run first inning the opposing coach didn't make a single pitching change, and didn't make a pitching change until the 2nd inning.

We have played Caldwell twice and 10 run them both times. They lost a lot of kids last year and I think most of their starters are underclassmen with very little varsity experience. For Peabody to let them score that many runs, I have to believe that a team of 8 year olds could beat them. I didn't watch either game, but whos to say they didn't hold runners or put freshman in. IDK. In all honesty though, I couldn't think of a better team to pound into the ground. Come basketball and football time, you best believe if they can run the score up on Caldwell they do.

IDK, we had two games called by umps this week for 15 after 3. You may be right, may be umps discretion.
