U high won 51-44.
U High must have many players playing football. They had one player that had at least 23. All other players were not good.
Port Allen had no shooters. No big man. Two players that were 6foot 2. They were ok.
I have been to Port Allen vs U High games from 2013-2016. These teams would not be on the JV teams

With Nick Parker?

Port Allen was good with Nick Parker for sure. Lost to Richwood at Richwood his senior year. Richwood had Reginal "Monsta" Johnson. They could not stop him. He went to play at Alcorn State. Nick went on to play four years at Loyola and made all conference and honorable mention NAIA All American. Skylar Mays never could guard him. Saw Parker torch him from 7th grade until 12th grade. Nick would put him in a blender and just score at will.
In 2014-2015 they lost to U High in the playoffs in Overtime in the quarterfinals. Should have won, a player had a breakaway layup after a steal to clinch game in regulation, but he traveled.
Ishmael Lane was on that team, a senior at Northwestern State. 6"7 post player All Conference in Southland, he will play overseas basketball. Nigel Allen, now a red shirt sopre at Western Texas Junior College. Jordan Morgan, would have played junior college but had two foot injuries his senior year. Marcus Keyes was a senior, but did not play his senior year. He is 3 year offensive line starter at Oklahoma State. Might play in NFL. Telson Allen was the state high jump champion and jumped 6 foot 10 inches to win the title. Went to Hinds Community College to high jump, but came home after less than a month. Homesick, had really never left Port Allen before. The teams from 2008 until 2015 had some talent.
The U High team was the one with Wayde Sims on it. (RIP) All 5 starters for U High played college. Sims, Mays, Jalen Johnson, John Jones Jr, Maxwell Starwood.
I would say Port Allen was last really good in 2015. Last year they were not that good, but had Avoyelels Public Charter on the ropes in Marksville in second round of playoffs. They lost by 3. Coach Derrick Jones is a really good coach. This is his second year, however he does not have much talent. I would say no one will play even junior college that is on his team. Some kids in Port Allen have been known to cross river and play in Baton Rouge. If he could keep all the kids in Port Allen, watch out.

I do recall Lane and Keyes now that you mention them. Great memory. Speaking of John Jones Jr, had 20 points for Texas southern as they upset Oregon a few days ago. 2nd win over a power 5 this year for Texas southern. Also beat Baylor.

I would personally advise not to but I don’t believe UHigh allows early graduation either. Likely plays if I had to guess

I know Jalyn Patterson is on that team as well. Another LSU guy.

Another question off topic. I hear Southern Lab's Middle school team has two really good 8th graders. I think they are both 6"3 or 6"4 and can dunk. I coach a kid that plays AAU with them. We scheduled Southern Lab this year, their coach contacted me (one of my players last year transferred to Southern Lab). My player this year looked at me and said "You think we can beat Southern Lab this year." I told him, Son that's why we are going to play the game. (if we beat Southern Lab, I will go buy a lottery ticket directly after the game) Do you follow their middle school programs?

I heard the same one of them is Boudreaux who was at McKinley son I heard. I will see them December 10 vs CSAL my best friend son plays for csal. I usually don’t follow myself

Harold Boudreaux son is one of them and I think the other one is Josh Leblanc's, from Madison prep now at Georgetown, younger brother.
CSAL is a tough team. Southern Lab vs CSAL will be a good one.
