This will be a hot ticket next year for sure. Can these teams just hang around New Orleans, rest up a bit then play Sunday afternoon?

Notre Dame in my opinion would win, but we will never know shall we? Nextyear we will know 😊😊..

You’ll have to get them in the playoffs. They won’t be in the same district next season. CHNI will be in an 8 team district with AES, Franklin, Loreauville, W. St. Mary, etc. All south of Lafayette. Notre Dame will be in a 5 team district with Welsh, Lake Arthur, LCA, and Port Barre, who’s moving down from 3A

LCA will have to prove that they can reload every year like Notre Dame and those other schools do before they can be called the next State Powerhouse. The money is really flowing into that place now so they might become one but their not there yet.

The money is really flowing into that place now so they might become one but their not there yet. This is the truth. LCA will have 17 starters back, but a couple of the losses will be huge. Mainly Clement at QB. Martin Lee, 1A defensive player of the year in 2017, is also a huge emotional leader. They will miss those 2, along with one of the safeties, who’s really good. And the LG and LT are seniors as well...both solid players. The starting RT from last season missed the season with ACL surgery and will be back for his senior year and there will be some of the transfer kids ready to go. If Clement had another year, I would feel confident that the transition would be fairly seemless. Either WR Errol Rogers (who led them to the 2017 title as a fill in soph QB) or sopre to be, and this years starting safety, Brylan Green (#19) will have to step up and try to fill Clements shoes...which will be a tough task

LCA had Holstein from STMs little brother last year as a 7th grader (he’s very good too), but he left for whatever reason. Think he thought he’d follow his brother at STM but the Howard kid leaving Ascension Episcopal for STM will be basically impossible to beat for that job. A lot of good kids have come in, but there’s been quite a few that have been at LCA and left too. Some to local publics and some that went to or will end up at Teurlings, STM or Ascension Episcopal But thats part of it. Lots of talent in the Lafayette area over the next 4-5 years.

I agree, y’all team this year was unbelievable, every phase of the game was unbelievable!! That Clement kid is some kind of special!! He’s going to be hard to replace!! Y’all are very good, I didn’t think our Bulldogs would only score 7 and definitely didn’t think we’d give up 56. Y’all are special!! Congratulations!

But I think Green may surprise some folks, at least passing wise. His form and his passes look better to me than Zach's did as a freshman, but my old age may be clouding my recollection, LOL. Zach had that intangible, though. He was a really tough runner inside, hard to tackle and deceptively fast. Only time will tell. Brylan has the benefit of a couple of really good receivers coming back in EJ Rogers and Sage Ryan and a beast of a running back in Logan Gabriel. And I'm not football expert by any stretch.

I'll wait to see the outcome of the game, I hate making predictions on these types of games. It'll be good for LCA to have competition in district, probably good for ND as well but I think they had that before. I have a friend and former coworker whose husband is a coach at ND. ND is a classy program IMO. Looking forward to the games to come.
