I’m a WM fan all the way. Go back and look at my post and you will see that. I’ve thought a lot about this final game. If you are unable to admit that there were 2 blocks in the back with one also being a hold your either jaded or just plain dumb. Would either of those guys made the tackle? Who knows. You know how you could have avoided all this? GET A FIRST DOWN! You had 4 plays to get 10 yards and you couldn’t. We went conservative. We were moving the ball outside the tackles but on 3&6 we thought we would sneak it up the middle against a front four that had manhandled us all night. We played not to lose and we did. We knew we had a good punter and defense and we decided to rely on them. Everyone sitting near me said if we give these guys the ball back they will score. In the post game news conference Arledge said basically “the days of coming down here with a good defense and winning are over. We could do that when everyone ran the ball. No more.” If you want to compete at this level you have to spread it out (3-4 receivers) every play and move that ball. We will never win another title with current offense scheme. If it means a new OC then make the change. If arledge isn’t willing to change than he needs to go. We can keep doing what we are doing and keep winning on Friday’s in Rebel Stadium against people we know we can stop. WM will make a bunch of money on those games and everyone will be happy, but if you want to consistently make it to semis and further you have to change. I don’t want to hear from one one these grammar nazis about a misspelled word or misplaced comma.

I'm not a WM fan nor do I have a dog in the fight, but I agree that getting to the championship games, or winning a lot of games is not good enough. Folks get accustomed to mediocrity and settle for close. This is why I couldn't stand Les at LSU, the whole "he's the winningest coach in LSU history" argument. Championships are what matters.

Either Change or settle for the same results.,,, Someone forgot to tell JT Cutis that! You guys are making way too much out of the WM loss. They were two very good football teams who played down to the very end of the game. No shame in that loss. I'm sure the coaches called what they felt to be the best plays to give their team the best chance to win. You forget the drive that started on the one yd line to get them out of trouble. And, If not for some terrible missed calls and one big play, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
So, I'll say again, all you Change fellas; with the spread'em up, pop up and look to the sideline, seven wide receiver having, flash card on the side line holding, aircraft carrier flagging play callers, chunk the ball all over the place dudes, Pick any team on John Curtis' schedule who runs the spread next year and I'll take Old School Curtis for a soda? Any takers?

Your coach said exactly what I said with the exception of him saying he needed to change. You heard it here first. When I’m shown to be wrong I will leave this board forever. WITH THEIR CURRENT OFFENSIVE SCHEME, ARLIDGE AND HUNT WILL NEVER WIN A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! And it hurts to say that.

Wait a minute. We had that game won. A last play that we should have tackled got away from us. It cost the game. We played lights out second half. Much better than the first. We could have had that game. So just don’t go High drama on our coaches tuff luck and I’m still not over it. But just hold your water on the coaches. Sometimes shi. Happens

WM went conservative but that shouldn’t automatically condemn the Reb’s to second place in the 5A championship game. The holding on # 38 and the block in the back on # 6 were obvious and blatant. No flags being thrown was obvious and blatant. Those non-calls have to be an embarrassment to all LHSAA officials. WM defense was solid in the second half and were running to the ball on that particular play. That level of officiating in a championship game should concern all football fans (except Zachary and WM haters). But WM went conservative on offense, so it’s ok to put a choke hold on # 38. Rebs should show that picture on the Jumbotron every time Zachary travels to WM. No, I don’t think Rebel fans will get over it. Just like when Rebs went for 2 against Evangel, or the fumble on last drive against Acadiana, or bad spot of 4th down against Destrehan. It’s just more stuff to talk about when we get to the nursing home years

You actually had a chance to win or tie the game on the last possession 😃😃😃.. And that was not a block in the back on #6. One hand was on his shoulder and the other on his back. Kid actually put himself out of the play running tl the sidelines. No one was tackling that boy 😂😂😂😂.. And the arm to the helmet is not a foul. If his hands had grabbed his facemask it is illegal hands to the face. His hands never grabbed his facemask. And the kid ran himself out of the play too. Both kids were irrelevant to the play. The refs were following the runner and if anyone coming in to make an attempt at a damn tackle been shoved from THE BACK not the side or front they will have seen it clearly. I love you folks. Thanks for the post. Maybe yall will make the trek down to Zachary and they can put their last two championships on display for yall to see. Oh, wait, WM doesnt play any meaningful road games or big time ballclubs with that patsy schedule so nevermind. You need to edit your post to add the two targeting hits on Bolden and Coleman that were blatant and obvious to everyone except non-rebel nut huggers. That is why they were beat 50-21.

Here’s some reading material: www.thetowntalk.com/story/sports/columnists/2018/12/11/john-marcase-column-officiating-football-not-what-once/2279596002/Forgot to include WM’s loss to Barbe in 2012, that one was probably the worst. Who loses 2 onside kicks in a row? That loss was tough! Yes, Zachary won the 2018 5A championship, but everyone (including Zachary) knows that they beat the best defense in the state with an assist from the officials. How do we know? It’s on video of course

Zachary would have had to beat Curtis to say they beat the best defense in the state.

Zachary would have had to beat Curtis to say they beat the best defense in the state. And that wasn't going to happen this year at all. Curtis would have embarrassed them just as badly as they did Catholic, just facts. Curtis would shut them down. My guess is that the score would have been 42-14. Same as next year. I wish Curtis and Zachary would play next year.

Cheating? Really? My issue is the excuse that 1 possible non call out of almost 200 plays cost WM the game. What about the DOCUMENTED fact that both Jerry Arledge and Don Shows were both Suspended for almost 1/2 the season and the school fined for recruiting and illegal contact with players from other schools. That affected entire seasons and not just 1 game. I'm sure Wossman (Brady James, Dalvin Hutchinson), Ouachita(Cam Robinson) or Sterlinton (Moncrief) have a much better reason to be upset about cheating than West Monroe. Get over it

Someones dad is butthurt. Heres the gist of it Pops, if your son is not good enough athletically to play, he dang sure isn't good enough to play in a full blown spread scheme!

Get over it Before you decide to keep running your head about how WM cheats, you might wanna get with your Neville administration. They would prolly like you to shut up. Neville recruits in EVERY sport. Dont go there. You will lose.
