Dirty kevin is trying to stir sh!t up. Avoyelles was gonna play jena again this year and Jena opted for ...... wait for it ..... LaSalle . Again though you got beat by a team with 28 dressed out and you are crying about missing 2 players off a team of 70. You should be embarrassed for losing to gimmicks

You took a lot of time out to pull that up. Pretty sure Jena would be happy to play Avoyelles every year. Exactly. You would think they would want to !!

Well LaSalle will guarantee a bigger home gate... Last time Avoyelles came to town they had about 20 people. The gate for the jamboree with LaSalle is usually well above 5 figures to each school split evenly so Yes I would rather play the game against LaSalle too.
Also did a little math Over the last 10 years Avoyelles 50-50 regular season 0-6 playoffs or an average of 5 power points per year LaSalle 48-51 regular season 3-7 playoffs or an average of 4.8 power points per year
considering they are about even have the much larger gate kept entirely in the parish both years, seems like a no brainer

Hey guys first time poster. I am stepping on a limb big time. I watched alot of jefferson parish last year. My surprise team is Bonnabel. they can make some noise in district. really good qb and rb. dont know if they can stop people. ehret could have scored 100 on them last year, but they were really young.

Man you have a lot of time on your hands. Lasalle = easy dub. You and I both know there is no chance LaSalle beats Jena. . 3-7 agains avoyelles last 10 years....yep no brainer Also Avoyelles is 0-7 in playoffs last 10 years. Lol. Still sucks

Yeah, I am pretty sure Jay only has a losing record to two schools that he has played more than twice since he became head coach Avoyelles is one of them.

But the gate excuse sounds really good lol

But I know it's no fun to play avoyelles because of what you call a gimmick system. I know Jay doesn't like playing it. Also ignore dirtykevan. Just trying to stir the pot

I can both agree and disagree with this post. First off you absolutely correct Bonnabel's qb may end up being one of the better ones in the state next year. There running back is solid too. However they are losing some big crucial pieces up front on both sides the ball as well as two leading wr's. Im a local of Kenner and watched Bonnabel vs. Kenner Discovery last year. Now granted it was just a jv game so qb and rb nor seniors didnt play but alot of their other starters and up and comers did and I believe the score was 8-6. Now dont get me wrong I truly believe after following them season KD will be solid in years to come but they were a first year program last year with kids who had just started playing a few months before and against a 5A team. Would love to see these two play in the years to come.

Pine Prairie will go 6-4 and make the playoffs.
Team will miss the athletic ability of JJ Sims, no doubt about that, but the young talent is shaping up to be pretty good. And with 5-3A going down to 6 teams, they have 7 very winnable games on the slate. I can see them slipping on one in non-district.

Kentwood would suprise people this year in 2A they think we cant play in 2a.

Kentwood would suprise people this year in 2A they think we cant play in 2a. Which to me is kinda stupid. If a team can ball, they can ball, period. Got to watch yall in the title game against OG. Strong squad Y'all had even without Palmer, and a lot of the best guys outside of him are coming back. Looking at that district, Y'all could easily finish second in it and probably win it depending on how Amite does after the Ish-Lee-Gilmore trio goes.

Now that we are officially In 2019 who will be your surprise team of 2019? Not necessarily a state contender but a team you think could surprise?
My bet is on Hammond High School, tons of talent over the years, now a coach that can develop and utilize it.

before I mention this team: I have no idea what their schedule is next year or who's returning and who they're losing, I just know they put out a solid team every year and they're one of the better Division IV programs as of late...While they probably won't get the boost of winning their district since Lab, even after losing TD and KT, has to be the favorites, Catholic High of Point Coupee could definitely surprise some people and finish closer to 4 or 5 in the ranking than 9 depending on if some things go their way. Yeah it’s definitely going to be interesting to see if CHPC can knock us off. We’re losing a lot. This will be a rebuilding year for us. Jabar Triplett is a great player. Theodore Knox is the #2 ranked player in Louisiana in the 2021 class. Our coaching has to improve. That’s our biggest issue. I'm pretty sure they got themselves moved back to their old district (plus St Edmund).

I'll copy paste the two districts here (with the LHSAA website numbering removed); in the one Lab is in, it would look like they're the favorite even in a rebuilding year District 6-1A Central Private False River Slaughter Community Southern Lab The Church Academy Thrive Academy District 5-1A Catholic, P.C. North Central Opelousas Catholic Sacred Heart St. Edmund Westminster

Wonder why though? 🤔😂😂😂 we’re definitely rebuilding. I said earlier we might not win district.

Plus, it's not like Opelousas Catholic is exactly easy either; they always field a tough, solid team (they just got "out-speeded" when LCA played them and threw some picks near and even in the red zone when they went to the spread). St Ed also usually has good regular seasons but when it comes to 1A teams they seem to always beat who they should and lose who you'd think they'd lose to(like CHPC). As for Lab's district...the only possible competition I see is maybe Church Academy; I have no idea what kind of team or talent they have, I just know they've had past success in 1A

He’s going to build a powerhouse over there. So according to the Sulphur coaching search forum, Simoneaux has emerged as a top candidate at Sulphur High. If true and he ends up getting the job, I'm not entirely sure where CHPC ends up this year.

Bold Prediction: District 3/4-2A Standings after week 10: 1: Avoyelles 2: Bunkie 3: Winnfield 4: Many 5: Red River 6: Lakeview 7: Menard You heard it here, first. Theres a new sherriff in town, and his name is Andy Boone. Cant wait to watch my Mustangs dominate in this district for many years to come. The road to a district championship runs through Moreauville, this year. Dominate??? Lol Well I'll just put it like this, Many hasn't lost a district game in over 5 years and I'm pretty sure we dont plan on starting this yr... But if I'm correct I believe yall play us at home this year sooo prove it I guess... lol... This "NEW SHERIFF" will be more like Barney Fife....
