Who will punch their tickets to Sulphur this weekend?
In 2A, it's many of the usual teams fighting for their spots. Just like last year, the Loreauville offense is starting to click at the right time. In the 3 playoff games so far they have scored 45 runs on 42 hits. Last season, it was 44 runs on 39 hits. Can their pitching do enough to get to Sulphur. We could get a rematch of the Kinder/Loreauville game in the semi's. Many/Welsh should end up being a great series and possibly 3 games. Don't know anything about Avoyelles Charter and Doyle.

Our offense seems to be clicking with 41 runs and probably 40 or more hits in the first three games.

Keyword is "should" be. Central probably sneaks in though. Pretty clear for Quachita? Pre-crowning? Same thing like last year. They crowned themselves before they even played the semifinal game. We shall see Freshly.

Loreauville Kinder Many Doyle
I find it a good sign when you pick against Winnfield. You haven't been right yet.

I agree that LHS is tough but I believe that Winnfield is a complete team. They have the pitching, the defense, and the bats. I know that LHS has the bats but don’t know if their pitching can match up with Lawson and the Winnfield crew. Winfield’s catcher is exceptionally good so they lock it up pretty good. I’m going with Winnfield and Kinder in the top bracket. I believe that Doyle will take their series. I of course am going with Many in our series but we will have to earn it. We do have the pitching, the bats, and the defensive ability to be dangerous. Our boys just have to show up with that ability. If Many plays to potential they will give Welsh all they want. No matter what anyone says, Welsh is for real and even though a lot of people wrote Many off about half way through the season, they can get the job done!

Winnfield is the most complete 2A club I've seen, and I've seen a lot.

Having confidence in your teams ability, while also acknowledging your opponents ability. I think the Many/Welsh series goes three games. Many has the ability to win the series but they are going to have to play lights out. If Many makes it past Welsh, I believe they take the semi final game against Doyle/ Avoyelles Charter.

Two players stuck out. Ones a LHP and ones a MIF. Not sure of the rules on this site with disclosing scouting reports with names and metrics.I'd rather leave that up to the coaches to make phone calls and build their reports. Comparing the two teams Winnfield and L'ville, I'd lean Winnfield with a slight edge (approach at the plate). They seem to be more comfortable with a 2 strike count. Both teams have low to mid 80 arms. Catcher from Winnfield is a dude, surprised he's not committed yet. Both teams attack fastballs but Winn. handles breaking pitches nicely. Should be a good series wish I could make it. Will be down in Moss Bluff getting a glimpse of the Meeks kid.

Loreauville’s ace pitcher was out with an injury when I saw them. Their 1-5 in the order can all hit extremely well.

Loreauville’s ace pitcher was out with an injury when I saw them. Their 1-5 in the order can all hit extremely well. He’s back now. The key to the run the team is on is the fact that 6-9 in the lineup are hitting and driving in runs. 6-9 had 10 hits and 11 RBI last weekend.

Class 1A:
Yesterday Oberlin beat #3 LaSalle and today Defending State Champion Merryville beat #2 Oak Grove again to punch their tickets to Sulphur. Kentwood also punched theirs beating White Castle 15-5. #2 Logansport plays #1 Grand Lake tomorrow. 1A Semis could look like a 4-1A Tournament.

Loreauville sweeps Winnfield. 4-1 and 11-2. Umpire for game 2 had a bad night and lost control. From his strike zone being all over the place, him talking back to fans (he even answered me when I asked him if he knew where the plate was), to him telling batters the wrong count. Winnfields players cracked under the pressure.

Ump was terrible but it was both ways. congrats to y’all. Good luck
