No that was during the split. I’ve watched Many beat A very very good Oak Grove team in the quarters in 2013 and beat WSJ in quarters 2016 both after the split. All these schools are very good. But it is MUCH harder in 2A, just like 3A is tougher to get to the dome. there are simply more teams with bigger rosters. The good 2A teams have close to 100 kids on the roster. WSJ was quarters in 2A and never was any better than that and they went down to 1A and won it the next year. WSJ coach was quoted in the paper saying 2A was much tougher because you play better teams quicker in the playoffs and they are much deeper. As a fan I have huge respect for all these teams because they ALL win. That’s why we always are talking about them. Yea but OG beat 3A state runner up this year as well as another 3A school too and 2A we had a new coach in 2013 and well made some very questionable calls the whole game. But not going to get in deep with that and Kentwood beat 2A power house and 4A school as well Yes classes do make a difference its more kids but I think Kentwood will be just fine

Have any one notice have Lhasa do the south. In 2A this year they put Amite, kentwood, St.helana,Indy, varnado, pine all in the same District that's not fair to these teams when playoff time come we got to knock each other off.

Many was moved out of their district a couple years ago. Pickering is closest 2A school to us and that district kicked us to another district.

Not a surprise
Seems like the first response to a good team is to kick them out

Coach told me and some of my tailgating buddies that that district lost east beau and thought they were putting Many back in it so the district proposed they move kinder into that district instead of Many.

Our numbers bother me a lot with this years team in 2a, I know some of the more talented teams in 2a jus so happen to be our natural rivals (Amite, St. Helena) so we will definitely see how we will stack up in the playoffs once the time come. Kentwood and Amite should be playing for the district title come the last week of the regular season. But it’s definitely not like 1a as it won’t take long to face teams with numbers in the playoffs so I’m jus hoping we can keep up with that especially after loosing the class we just lost to graduation. I actually see it as the other way around. Many does a great job of developing talent. Many’s group that just graduated never won a single game in Jr high that’s right they had zero wins. They were developed and became pretty good players. They ended up signing 5 but I’m telling you as a fan that saw every game but 1. I only thought two of them were D1 caliber. What is impressive is there is never any fall off. They stay in the finals or the semifinals and nobody in 2 A is that consistent. In my opinion they have actually overachieved a couple years. You see kinder take a step back( now I hear from a friend they are coming back) but you always see Many right back in the semis and finals. I count my blessings for our program. It wasn’t too long ago there was no development of players and no championships. They just graduated 22 seniors and I went and watched them yesterday and they look like the next group is ready to step up and go. I’m a proud fan of our program and very thankful for coaches and adminstratiin for giving us something to be proud of. I saw on my nephews summer workout sheet on the cover it has their last 6 years record at 74-10 with 6 district titles, 5 semifinals, 2 state finals 1 state championship that was very impressive to me. Kinder will probably be another year away or so. The junior class this year will be similar to those that were juniors during the 2013 season. Not a whole lot of college caliber talent but some guys that play with a chip on their shoulder and got that Scrappy mentality Kinder has always had. We never produce alit of talent but always play with attitude. I think the problem with last year's team was a lower talent level coupled with a bad attitude and lack of leadership. We blew out a pretty good lake Arthur team but our demeanor on the field was not very good. We have alotore coming back but lost outlr best DB who transferred to Oakdlae recently. (He will not be eligible there this season). We will have a good regular season contributed to a schedule that's not nearly as difficult as the previous one plus a district that is lackluster at best.

Just about every Many fan has crazy respect for The Kinder program. The two fan bases and programs are very similar our best team is coming we are supposed to have a stellar freshman class. Here’s to hoping Many and Kinder can meet up in a rubber match.

That Oak Grove team in 2013 was talented but it wasn’t nearly one of the Grove’s better teams in my opinion. That was the one year between Coach Vic and Coach Gregory. OG is much better coached at the top now than that season. OG’s last stint in 2-a was during Oak Grove’s biggest down cycle since probably the 70’s. I wouldn’t use that to say they can’t compete in 2-a. Beating last year’s 3-a runner up pretty much proves that.

That district they're in is a barn burner. A big benefit is they're familiar with all those programs. I dont know what they have returning experience wise but I figure they'll win at least 7 in the regular season and at least a quarterfinal playoff appearance FOR STARTERS

Right OG, WSJ wasn't horrible in 2A but Kentwood beat them by 2TDs in both 15 & 16 but lost to them in the dome. Fact is these two years they just wasn't as good as the recent two years. I would not just say because a school has a larger enrollment they are better than those schools with a lesser enrollment. Again WSJ, OG, Hanesyville, & Kentwood have been beating up on 3A, 4A and 5A schools for years.

It’s like “Man I know we are in 1-a and all but we only have 3-4 D1 prospects this year” lol. That’s still more than a lot of 1-a schools have had in their history. Get out of here with that bud cause we ain’t falling for it.

I hope Lab wins state and Kentwood does great also.
Ya'll know I want Port Allen to win state.
Realistically the Pelicans might win one playoff game.
