I think Saia is doing a good job and AC looks well coached and solid. D IV is much tougher this year so it’s going to be tough for AC to return to the title game.
Considering how many player graduated off last years team for AC I think they are doing good.
Don’t see the issue with their schedule. Solid schedule for a class A team. Better schedule than the last two years

you might be right.
I just think the district is weak.
Maybe White Castle will beat them.

you might be right.  I just think the district is weak. Maybe White Castle will beat them. Definitely easier now that Lab and Kentwood are gone. But no team is an absolute pushover and I think every team in district is capable of pulling an upset. Not like I’m the 90s when North, East and WC were easy wins. (Or a few years back when us and EI were easy wins)

Ascension Catholic looked very good against Riverside last night. The game was not nearly as close as it appeared. AC was up 35 to 7 when Riverside scored 2 late TDs on the subs. This team lost a ton of seniors from last year but they still could make a deep run. They are clearly better coached offensively. They are much less predictable and spread the ball around more so that teams can't key on one player. It's only week 2 and the kids are really picking up on the new offense. Watch out, the dogs could make some noise. Spread the ball around more? I just read that AC scored 5 times and Jai had 4 of them. That's called spreading it more?

He only had 11 Carries, our Freshman Back (Prean) had 14. Jai broke 2 long ones, but had a couple short yardage TD runs. Prean had about 120 yards.

Calvary might give us trouble but that's about it. Dude theire is lab, vermilion, country day, OCS, and apparently OP catholic who all look like like semi final level teams along with y’all and Calvary AC still has a long way to go. We are in week two guys. There is still a lot of ball to be played. CPC and AC played one another in a scrimmage and besides the second and thrid teams, it was a close and the full quarter it was 0-0. Catholic of PC has a tough scedule in Dequincy, AES (CPC first string QB went down on first drive) and it still came down to the last drive, also have riverside, Episcopal of BR, then district. OC also looked good these first two weeks.

Ascension Catholic is good, really good. Not tested in regular season and beating teams as they should. Tests will come in money time as Div IV is as deep as it’s been

Also can't ever sleep on White Castle with their athletes. They played us to a one score game back in 2017 late into the 4th quarter. AC is good with the chance to be really good if the young kids keep developing and the injuries don't mount up.

9 - 0 regular season
After 1st round of playoff It'll be 10 - 0.
Meet up with Lab in the quarters then we will be 11 - 0. Then we can talk about strength of schedule.

They look much better than I thought they would, considering the talent that they lost. Team has a lot of heart, Coach Saia and staff are using the talent in the right places. Good to see JV games on the schedule. They will dawg those as they get deeper into the season, but great exposure for a young Team Their biggest challenge in regular season is Erath and Central Catholic. It all depends on how the playoff brackets pan out. Beating Lab in the playoffs would be of the miracle variety.

I can tell this is a satire thread which is definitely entertaining to read. Lab isn’t the Lab we’ve been over the last few years and I have been upfront and honest about that. We had the ball in our red zone with 40 seconds left against Madison Prep. Normally we win those games. The last 3 years that would’ve been the Ty Davis show. We don’t have that this year. And we lost. I don’t think we’ll do any better against Central and Scotlandville. They both look like bad L’s to me.

AC fans, yall will play 2 quarterbacks all year or decide on one? I hear the freshman is alot better than the junior. Is that true?

Bigger kid, stronger arm. I think we will see more of him than the junior. But with Benny, you never know. We were running the wildcat most of Friday night.

I'll state my thoughts and I don't have a dog in the hunt anymore. I'd go with the junior and give the freshman some 4th qtr reps to keep him fresh. The junior is very athletic, smart and can handle the pressure of being behind center. The freshman will be a beast in 2 years. Just my opinion.
