Is this a shut out for Zachary ? Zachary played a monster is what happened. They were like Karr but better. My biggest problem is Brown. Brown does not look the same throwing the ball. His accuracy is shot. I honestly expect them to start Holstein at some point this season. He gives them something that hasn't been out there since Scott, and accurate passer with decent athleticism. They can't throw the ball. At all.

Final score 53-0 Deerfield. Running clock in second half. Not sure what will happen next week with Brandon but at least they have istrouma week 5 to right the ship

Two things Shows never did twice: he never went back to Texas after 1999 and got slapped around; he never played Florida Powerhouses after Heritage. Zachary better heed the call now. I knew they would struggle defensively this year losing 4 starters before season started, but their offense is what is the real shocker. Brown can't pass. At all. To anyone with any accuracy.

All Brown can do is run. He has a strong arm, but he never had much accuracy hitting receivers as he has on the baseball field throwing straight to someone. These boys watched film and executed their defense flawlessly. They knew all of Zachary’s tendencies, both offensively and defensively. It’s almost like they had the Broncos’ playbook. Totally dismantled that offense and defense. It was embarrassing to see our reigning state champion taken to the woodshed like that. EVERY opponent Zachary has this season should watch this film.

It is truly embarrassing. And next week with Longview it will be as bad. If Haynes just shows up halfway it will be bad. Not this bad but bad. And both WM and Zachary are likely semifinal level teams 🤣🤣😂😂.. Sad. Brewerton has a mess and I am anxious to see if he has the gahonas to bench Brown for a better QB to get this offense back in starting Holstein. Watch some of his film from this season already, Holstein is freakishly accurate and makes solid reads. Big kid with a big accurate arm. Brown could play receiver or defensive back. They need him there badly.

And Deerfield was 0-2 going into the game. Who did they play before the Dolphins and Jaguars

Looking at the schedule, according to Maxpreps, Deerfield played St John’s of Maryland, one of that state’s top programs, last week, and before that played Carol City as part of Broward vs Dade before Zachary

And Deerfield was 0-2 going into the game. Who did they play before the Dolphins and Jaguars St John's is better than any team in Louisiana and Carol city is as well. Deerfield comes from bloodlines that are powerhouses and they play each other. I await the day a team from this area has the gonads to play those teams including Deerfield. Message me when they do. At least WM can play a middle tier powerhouse in Longview and get blasted.

When is the last time that happened? St John scored 52 points on Deerfield. FIFTY TWO. Deerfield was facemask to facemask in their receivers grills and had zero respect for the passing game. It was like Port Sulphur and South Plaquemine way back when. Just load it all up and go after them every play. All Zachary needs is a quarterback who can pass. Unless they want to run Brown to death this season. The coaching and football IQ of Deerfield along with the talent was great. And they still have up 52 to St John.

Something tells me Louisiana football in general may be down a little this year from what it has been in the past few years. A lot of upsets already.

Something tells me Louisiana football in general may be down a little this year from what it has been in the past few years. A lot of upsets already. Keep in mind..enrollments differ in different regions. Deerfield Beach has about 1000 more students than Zachary does. Longview will have about 700 more students than Zachary. Allen High school in TX has about 5000 students. Duncanville HS in TX has about 3800. So sometimes the perspective is a bit off when comparing interstate match ups. Hoover High in Bama has about 3000 students. Jenks in OK has 3,300.

What other quarterback in Louisiana has two state titles and is still playing?

Brown has two state titles. What other quarterback in Louisiana has two state titles and is still playing? The man has regressed as a passer. He has had guys wide open two weeks in a row and can't place the ball. I know one behind him that can and he makes it look so pretty doing it too.

You do always say the back up at Zachary is better. Holstein.
When he wins 2 state titles, get back at me.

Next season Zachary will be alone at the top once again with 16 starters returning. The recipe for winning for them isn't there this year with brown running. They are going to have to keep up as they fall behind against good teams. He can't play catchup. He can't pass. Holstein can pass and run. He can keep them in ballgames with his arm.

Holstein will win 2 state titles? ?? I say no. Why not? Zachary has youth and talent they are likely one of the youngest teams in the state all around this year. He is a 5 star talent and will have a 5 star receiver in Hilton.. the entire offensive line returns except for one guy. Their receiving corps lose one guy. Defensively they lose 3 kids and rest return. Who has more coming up?

Don’t take lots of athletic talent when your opponent is highly predictable, but looking at the cupcakes left are the Broncos schedule, you might be right.

Curtis might be the most predictable team in the state. I would be willing to bet that 99% of the coaches in the state can defeat Curtis...on paper. He has over 500 wins and 26 state titles. It isn't about creative. It is about execution.

They are definitely not as predictable as, run Brown, run Brown, run Brown.
