Oakdale @ Oberlin- rematch of the Jamboree where Oberlin came away victorious. This will be Oberlin's final game before opening district play the Tigers have somewhat had the Warriors number over the last few years for the most part and will look to Continue success. Both teams come into the week with an undefeated record and a common opponent in Pine Prairie they both defeated pretty handily. Based off the Jamboree Oberlin will have to be patient and not get too greedy in order for their offense to work. Oakdale was not able to generate any kind of offense in the Jamboree and struggled week 1 against Elton but seemed to come into their own last week. This could end up being an interesting matchup but I'll take the Tigers in a close one. Winner: Oberlin
Pickering @ Merryville- Pickering came away with a close win last week against East Beauregard. Merryville looks to be in for a long season this year. The Red Devils have impressed me a bit so far in this young season. Winner: Pickering
Central Catholic @ Vinton- Not to familiar with Central Catholic. Vintons offense has been able to move the ball a little the past couple weeks. Winner: Vinton
St. Louis Catholic @ Kinder- a matchup that hasn't taken place in a number of years. Kinder struggled to stop Iowa last week and offense at times sputtered out. Kinder will need to put a complete game together or will continue to struggle. St. Louis comes in sporting the same record and came up just shy against a Jena program that is somewhat on the rise. Can Kinder put it together this week? Depth may take over late. Winner: St. Louis
South Beauregard @ DeQuincy- DeQuincy scored a big win against Lake Arthur but will face a higher powered down this week. Winner: South Beauregard
East Beauregard @ Rosepine- Rosepine still looks ng for their first W since going undefeated last year. East Beau will look to play ball control in searching for their first W as well. I'll take the Eagles. Winner: Rosepine

Winner: Rosepine South Beau’s RB is very similar to #10 for a Lake Arthur, has break away speed and runs outside a lot, other than him they have a solid receiver but really not a lot of depth like LA.. a lot of youth on that team but they are a competitive bunch, if we can play good defense like we did the other night and reduce the turnovers then we should take the win.

I’m sorry Pickering needs to play somebody. Their schedule is ridiculous.

Central Catholic will cruise past Vinton, CC has much more talent and speed than Vinton does, CC wins 47-20

Have you seen CC play this year? where do you get your info from? They may be better than us and they may win but to make a random statement like that is just dumb. CC was 5-5 last year and graduated and pretty good QB. They do have a bunch of seniors and are a solid, well coached team.... #4 and #44 are tough backs.

I should’ve worded it better, my apologies, no disrespect towards y’all, just from what I’ve seen from CC in the past 2 weeks as well as the jamborees and looking at their roster I just feel like they will be the better team, it’s not like y’all are playing Notre Dame lol, y’all still have a legitimate shot to win.

Lol the kplc game of the week is Oakdale vs Oberlin That should boost their ratings. God honest truth, DQ vs SB would probably get 3 times the ratings compared to Oakdale vs Oberlin because DQ and SB are geographically closer to LC.

Not sure what their protocol for picking game of the week is, but two 1-1 teams in week 3 probably isn’t very intriguing to them! Rarely do I see any logic behind KPLC’s actions, but two 2-0 teams that are parish rivals, one coming off of a pretty good year and returning a lot of starters vs. a team that hasn’t been very good in the past, but has a new coach and is 2-0 (with 2 shutouts, according to the paper) kind of has a little logic to it.

One thing is for sure, they don’t care if Barbe is 9-0 and Sulphur is 0-9 it’s gonna be game of the week.. smh there are a lot better games scheduled for the week that those two play but oh no! KPLC has to reserve it for Barbe vs Sulphur... 🤮

A lot of teams stacking wins against very weak teams. Got to see some of these 2-0 starts for what they are. Heck Lakeview is 2-0 and played nobody I mean nobody.

Well they both scored about the same amount of points against pine Prairie Oberlin 35 Oakdale 34 and both shut them out This is shaping up to be a real slobberknocker based on that.

How would one see a 2-0 start as anything other than the 2-0 team beating the team that lined up in front of them in both of their scheduled games? Did someone from Lakeview kick your dog and/or steal your lunch money?

Oberlin will whip Oakdale It's just a good rivalry game between 2 parish teams, same as Oberlin/Oakdale. What makes you think that Oberlin will whip Oakdale?

Y’all are very underrated in my opinion. Definitely better than y’all were last year. Y’all should make atleast the regionals if not the quarterfinals if y’all can stay healthy.

I'm starting to understand how DQ beat LA if Levias didn't play. From what I understand, Welsh is very young. Good luck to both sets of Tigers this year!
