I want you thoughts on this game. I watched it on CST and I want to see what you thought. Was there at the game and thought both teams played extremely hard,it was almost like a playoff atmosphere in week 2.Acadiana jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead, but I knew Ruston would fight back, knowing that they lost to a really good Neville team the week before, only 21-20.The Rams got kinda got complacent and sloppy in the 3rd quarter, when Ruston made a bit of a comeback.Losing Dillan Monette in the first half with,an ankle sprain, didn't help matters and the Ruston defense loading the box. That 4th quarter 18 play 8 1/2 minute drive showed some fight in that Ram offense and that was good to see!! But overall it was a really competitive game.

I think Monette is a heck of a player and I was impressed with Acadiana's offensive line.

Thaos Figaro is his name and he actually went back in the game in the 4th quarter and finished,he's ok.

I believe the quick amount of in-game injuries caused the focus to be lost and Ruston took advantage.

Yes it did to a certain point, but that last td drive the offense refocused and ran it straight at Ruston's defense and finished with a score. That showed me the senior leadership on the offense stepped up and the offensive line took over!

Any idea why Acadiana can't hold big leads the last few years? I listened to that sulphur game from 3 years ago and they similarly blew a big lead. They are getting like Ouachita was during Coach Carr's tenure out there: get big leads and hold on for dear life as if you are losing.

This is my take, the best time to play Acadiana in the regular season is week 1-5.For whatever reason they come out slow out of the gates every year for as long as I can remember and get better as the season rolls along. They'll be fine as long as they stay focused. Now learning from some of the players and parents, this senior group are very determined and hungry to get back to the title game.Only time will tell!

Turnovers In 2009 they were beating catholic BR 28-0 at halftime and Catholic came back after acadiana fumbled 3 or 4 times in straight series. Catholic capitalized every time to their credit. This year I would guess they have 4-5 fumbles these last 2 games. One of them was returned for a touchdown if I’m not mistaken. The offense Acadiana runs relies on timing and if that timing is off at all bad things happen.
