So if those are the 1A schools for the next reclass, districts could look something like this: 1-1ACalvary Baptist Glenbrook Haynesville Homer Magnolia School of Excellence plain Dealing Ringgold 2-1AArcadia Cedar Creek Lincoln Prep Ouachita Christian River oaks St. Frederick 3-1ADelhi Delhi Charter Delta Charter General Trass Sicily Island Tensas 4-1ABlock LaSalle Logansport Montgomery Northwood-Lena St. Mary 5-1AEast Beauregard Grand Lake Hamilton Christian Merryville Oberlin 6-1ABasile Elton North Central Opelousas Catholic Sacred Heart-VP St. Edmund Westminster 7-1AAscension Catholic Ascension Christian Catholic-PC East Iberville St. John White Castle 8-1ACentral Private Kentwood Slaughter Southern Lab Thrive Varnado 9-1ACenterville Central Catholic Gueydan Hanson Memorial Highland Baptist Jeanerette Vermilion Catholic 10-1ACohen Covenant Christian Ecole Classique* Ridgewood* Riverside St. Martin West St. John * - these 2 teams probably don't play for district honors leaving district 10 with 5 teams. If the top 3 teams get pushed into 2A, that wouldn't change things too much. District 1 already has 7 teams so losing Calvary would only drop them down to 6. District 9 also has 7 teams but if Jeanerette stays in 2A and VC movies up that would leave 5 teams in that district. Not bad, but LHSAA might not like too many small districts. General Trass would be perennial District Champs with that district I WOULD AGREE GIVEN THE FACT THAT 2 OF THE TEAMS IN DISTRICT 1-1A HAS MORE COMBINED WINS THAN ALL OF THE TEAMS IN THAT ENTIRE 3-1A DISTRICT. LOL

Well, in 1A every team makes the playoffs except those that choose not to participate. So the power points would come into play in terms of travel. A first round game vs Grand Lake might be preferable to having to travel all the way to Homer. The outcome may not be much different, but you wouldn't spend as much money to get there. Every team doesn’t “make” the playoffs. “Make” would insinuate earned. Every team is actually placed or awarded a spot. True. Believe that all the select schools in each division also are placed into the select playoffs.

LOL O yea it would be a slaughter every year lol. Coming from 2-2A to that District would be too easy.

Maybe brown paper bags would have been more appropriate.

In 1A with only slightly more teams, all of them get in.

District 1-1A, where does Evangel fit in your analysis? Are they going to be 1A as per their enrollment? Play up 2A so as not to be embarrassed by Calvary? Stay in 4A? Doesnt look good for the Eagles, Right now I dont think they could be competitive in Sand Lot much less 1-A.
Got to wonder what Johnny Booty was thinking with 2 of his Grandsons at Evangel now, Go figure...

ECA getting added to 1-1A would throw everything off. maybe split Claiborne parish and send Homer to 2-1A. Or move both Homer and Haynesville to 2-1A and move Arcadia back to 1-1A. It's a bit convoluted, but the travel for Arcadia might be easier to Shreve since it's mostly interstate. Other than that, I'd have no idea. Unless they make one big district with 8 teams. Not unheard of, but not commonplace either.
