I seen where there might be another loss due to the transfer portal. I am positive there is someone else behind him to step up. But other than that what do yall think of LSU this coming up season.
Personally I think they are about to light it up they started to gel and the end of the season last year; beating #6 Florida at the time and Ole Miss, and bringing back about everyone from those 2 games.

Had auburn beat until the middle of the 3rd. Really wonder if the talk about firing O is real or just chatter? He’s 48-16. I believe Saban was 48-15 when he went to Miami.

Kentucky and Ole Miss, and probably Florida, are must-win games for LSU. Not a good situation for a guy trying to keep his job. However, I've heard that a decision was already made on O's status and the AD is possibly already lining up candidates for a possible replacement. Pretty much the only thing he can do to save his job is to win 6 out of the 7 games left, and be competitive against Alabama. I don't see it happening. Kentucky is GOOD...Ole Miss is improving...Florida is Florida...Arkansas is HOT...and A&M always plays their best game against the Tigers. The Orgeron era at LSU is coming to a close.
It may be too little too late at this point, but Ensminger should have been mentoring Peetz the way he mentored Brady in 2019 from his hire up to this point. Peetz has the knowledge to be a good OC, but he constantly second-guesses himself resulting in difficulty getting play calls in. Ensminger worked side-by-side with Brady and allowed him to make play calls on 3rd down, basically grooming him to be an OC. Now the dude is off running an NFL offense. Play calling is not something you jump into with both feet with immediate success at any level of football unless you are a coaching prodigy...it is a learned skill and O should have known better than to put that young coach such an awkward situation.
Defensively, the Tigers are a bigger mess. With arguably the most talented defense in the Power 5 not named the Crimson Tide, LSU should be a lot better than they are. It's not even a schematic issue at this point...it's a fundamental issue. They look like a JV squad going against the 1st team.

I think it is real the only difference from the records is most them losses was the begging of Coach Saban era at LSU, and these losses are coming at the end. Coach O and his staff have the weapons to make something happen they should not have lost to Auburn or UCLA, last time we lost 2 games we were not supposes to we fired Les Miles so dont see why this is any different. But who is out there to replace Coach O, Personally I lilke Coach O I believe in Coach O but he is not a head coach he needs top notch assistant coaches to win. But the main problem is the line they cant block to well and running game is straight terrible, just going to be honest. But back to Coach O if the talk is real I would not be surprised if we go after a top coach like Dabo Swinney if that is how you spell his name or Penn State Coach, so if we going to hire someone find someone who is winning with less weapons so when they get to LSU they have more to work with than they ever had before. Which will create a creative mindset on offense kind of like when Joe Brady was at LSU running all them RPO's ( Granted that LSU team was STACKED)

I can agree with that, on so many occasions they had Nix right where they needed and they couldnt wrap up, Bo Nix scrambled around better than our RB could run. Just one of those times on 3rd down LSU would have won that game. But every time Bo Nix would scramble for about 50+ yards breaking tackles and ankles then chunk it down field for a 1st down or TD. That got old to watch just wrap the man up. The play calling is ok at times but too much pressure on Max Johnson to make every play, I still have yet to see a complete running game, I dont care who you are or how good your passing attack is to win in the SEC you are going to have to run between the tackles eventually, defenses are pinning their ears back and coming off the ball knowing what we are going to do, because of how bad the running game is.
