What I find interesting is that with all the pearl clutching and teeth gnashing some have had over the recent NIL rulings, THIS will change the college athletic landscape on a much larger scale than that.

In a joint statement with the Big 12, Texas and Oklahoma have officially announced their intentions to leave the Big 12 and apply for SEC membership. The move will be official once the current media rights contract between UT and OU with the Big 12 expires after 2025. So it's happening, but it'll take about four more years

In a joint statement with the Big 12, Texas and Oklahoma have officially announced their intentions to leave the Big 12 and apply for SEC membership. The move will be official once the current media rights contract between UT and OU with the Big 12 expires after 2025. So it's happening, but it'll take about four more years I saw that, also saw where they were trying to get the money to pay off the fines so they can join in 2022, I dont know how much truth is in that but just what I heard, Personally think that would be stupid since they are joining for the money. So Dont know why they would want to throw away 70 million and then turn around and redo all their jerseys courts and fields to the SEC logo on top of the 70 million.
