Logansport still looking for the first win of the season. They were able to put up 44 points on Loyola last week and I look for them to score a lot in this one too. The issue is keeping the other team from doing the same. They’ve given up over 100 points in the first two games to Calvary and Loyola. I don’t believe Bossier has the fire power of those two teams but I look for this one to be a close one. Logansports QB left last weeks game with an injury. I don’t know the status on him but his backup looked pretty decent. Not as mobile but a nice arm. I think either guy could lead the team to a win tonight. Im expecting fireworks early and often. The Tigers have done well against Bossier over the last several years so I wouldn’t exactly call it an upset but I’m giving the edge to the home team. Tigers pick up the first W in The Jungle
Logansport 49 Bossier 42

Hopefully we can get that first W tonight and get on a roll headed towards district. Our running game looked better last week but still room for improvement. Maybe the defense will step it up as well, should have a little more motivation with it being Homecoming.

So another problem i see with the tigers is that they just dont have enough boys being a small school (1A). Both games so for has been that the other two schools they have played is that they are swapping boys out continually, 11 men on defense and a different 11 men on offense. With the Tigers 8 boys go both ways and with punt team and kick off then punt return by the time 3rd q gets here, plus logansport has miss what 10 days of practice due to c19, they are well alittle winded... dont get me wrong no excuses from not one player have i heard, nor coaches. But i can promise you this they still have 3a tonight and tough j-hodge next week then 2a rosepine the next week then starts district and they be be ready for a tough set of tigers, this group has heart!!! GO TIGERS!

GO TIGERS! We will certainly be ready for district. As usual, it’ll come down to Logansport and St Mary’s. I’m expecting revenge when they come to town but that’s a whole different thread ! Bossier usually doesn’t field a whole lot of kids. I expect them to bring more than we’ve got but I think we can handle it. Eventually these long , hard fought games are going to pay off and I think the payoff could come tonight. I recently moved to the Mansfield area and the talk around here is that Logansport has lost it. They aren’t who they used to be. I’m ready for our boys to quiet all that talk and sooner or later, they will. A big win tonight would definitely muzzle it

Tigers looking like they have a bad case of homecoming-itis. If I had to venture a guess, there may be a little focus adjustment going on in the Tiger locker room

Definitely not what I expected This is not your Bossier Bearkats of old that showed up to Logansport They do look a bit better than usual but it’s the same issues as games 1&2. Logansport isn’t as good as were used to seeing against the pass. Bossier has big physical receivers and we couldn’t do much with them. Logansport QB made a couple mistakes you’d expect a backup to make. Defensively we weren’t able to tackle tonight. Offense never found a rhythm. Great ballgame for Bossier but a tough night for my Tigers. Got another really good opponent next week @ J-Hodge. We will keep fighting and this will all pay off. Logansport will win football games . Hopefully we pull off a big one over the next two opponents before getting into district.

Definitely got a tough row to hoe.... missing the starting QB did show alot tonight. offense never really looked in rythem, with that cant make any excuses. We will lose a few more games this year BUT could come on by district.... every game these young men are going to get better, win lose draw... we really need to learn how to tackle before to many more games, offense will take care of itself i think, and last but not least go tigers...

I hope we’re able to make some adjustments soon. St Mary’s, Lasalle and Northwood all look pretty decent this year. District is going to get interesting. If we can get the pass defense tightened up we will be fine. Got to put together a full four quarters. Our first halves have been great but we come out after halftime and immediately start giving up points. I still believe we make a nice playoff run once we start playing 1-A opponents. We will hit our stride and get more confidence and be a very dangerous team.

I know it sucks to be sitting 0-3 after the first 3 games, but I’m not sure there’s a 1a team in non select that wouldn’t be 0-3 after playing those same 3 opponents. Same goes for Oak Grove. These tough games will only make y’all better in the long run.

Looking forward to hosting Logansport next Friday! The past couple years that we’ve matched up, it’s always been a fairly competitive and fun game. I’d be shocked if J-Hodge won, but who knows. We played with more passion than I’ve ever seen last Friday, so hopefully they’ll play with that same fire after a 14 day break!

Hopefully we can show a little of that high powered offense Logansport has been known to have over the past few years. If J-Hodge has a decent passing game my tigers could be in for a long night. Certainly excited to see if we’ve improved in that area.
