Iota @ Jennings
Last Week: Iota beat Crowley; Jennings lost to Deridder
Matchup: Iota followed up that week 1 loss with two very convincing wins, while Jennings seems to be floundering a bit. This will be a hard hitting affair, and Iota will pull away comfortably.
Iota over Jennings, 32-14 —— Northwest @ Eunice
Last Week: Northwest lost to Kaplan, Eunice lost to Avoyelles
Matchup: The Raiders have a little offensive firepower this year, it’s just their defense letting them down. They should be able to handle Eunice, who have lost twice to lower classification schools in convincing fashion.
Northwest over Eunice, 35-21 — Marksville @ Church Point
Last week: Marksville lost to ASH, and Church Point beat Rayne
Matchup: Marksville seems to be struggling to hit their stride this year, even taking away last week’s game. Church Point should win comfortably.
CPHS over MHS, 42-14 — Block @ Pine Prairie
Last Week: Block had to forfeit, Pine beat Buckeye
Matchup: The Panthers will keep on rolling through their non district slate. The Bears won’t slow them down.
Pine over Block, 52-12 — CCMC @ Ville Platte
Last Week: CC lost to Patterson, and VP lost to NW-Lena
Matchup: There are a lot of issues with the Bulldogs, who played their first game last week. I can’t see them winning this one in a one week turnaround.
CC over VP, 28-6 — Port Barre @ Mamou
Last week: PBHS lost to Opelousas Catholic, Mamou lost to Beau Chene
Matchup: This is usually a competitive game, not in a good way. Mamou has found some offense the last couple weeks, so they should put the Devils to rest.
MHS over PBHS, 28-6

Results
PPHS-28 Block-6 The Bears showed up to play, turnovers kept them from scoring. The Panther’s high scoring offense was very limited.
Mamou 43 Port Barre 12 Mamou seems to have found it’s offensive stride. They will make the district sweat.
Northwest 12 Eunice 42 I was a little surprised at how lopsided this was.
CPHS 51 Marksville 0
Ville Platte 0 CCMC 53 Bulldogs seem to be taking some deep steps back. Hopefully they can right the ship and be more competitive.
Iota 48 Jennings 57 This was billed as the game of the week, and it didn’t disappoint!
