Looks like STM got it going last Friday night. Can they take down the mighty tigers in Monroe?

Neville 48-STM 28…STM defense is suspect and Howard doesn’t have the weapons he’s had the past 2 years. Still a good team and Howard is as good a HS QB as you’ll see!
But Neville gets the win!

Neville 42 Stm 35. Stm will score points but they won't be able to contain Allen. Neville wins in a shootout.

neville 's qb has been having a bad year so far. he's got to make the plays passing to keep the defence at bay so aj can make the big plays. whole team was sloppy last wk against a lower opp. could be a real close game without stm's homecooking. should be a good weekend for cooler weather for football.

Neville offense is anemic and has been for quiet some time. It's going to come down to who is better....Neville defense or STM offense?
I like STM 21-13

STM offense has scored 133 points in 3 games. That's over 43 points a game. And two of their games were against top teams in the state. Neville has a good defense. But I don't think they'll hold the STM offense under 30 points. Then again, 30 points might not be enough to win this game, lol. Give'em both credit,,,they're not shy about playing anybody. If it wasn't 3 hours away, we'd most certainly go.

Take that how you will. STM offense is way better on offense than Neville. Defensively Neville should have the advantage. First real test for Mike Collins as DC. I think his days at ULM will tear its head. STM 60 Neville 35

Logic...I wouldn't bet either way. But if I had to pick a winner I'll say STM. Do you think the Neville defense is as good as the ASH defense? Just wondering. One more question. Do you hate Neville, and if so, why? Guess that's possibly two questions, lol.

They are pretty consistent up front and awfully athletic in the secondary, ASH offense hands down better than Neville. And I know you didn’t ask that so…there you go!! 😂 Should be a great game tho 👏

I expect Howard to put on an aerial show Friday. Neville has played.....ruston. ruston scored 24 and they are one dimensional. Give me STM all day. Neville's offense can't keep up. It will be evangel like from mid 90's when they came over and whipped Neville and Coats wrote an entire piece whining about private schools in the News Star warning his fellow public schools about the new enemy. I need to go to library and find the archives of that masterpiece of whiny material.

And with that being said, we weren't really impressed with the secondary of ASH. Howard threw for A LOT of yards against them. But like you said, it should be a heck of a game. Are you planning on going? (Not sure where you live or what team you pull for, lol.)

It isn't being a at all. Just observation. The talent is there to be more lethal in the passing game. And the protections up front seem so basic. I just can't see them staying with STM regardless of talent at STM. They are still formidable and run very nice sets offensively with a better QB. 60

Neville is very good in the back end...... and defensively as a whole, they are solid. STM has proved they can give up some points.
Should be a good one on 600 Forsythe.

Are you planning on going? (Not sure where you live or what team you pull for, lol.) Howard threw for a lot of yards against ASH for two reasons: 1) He's great at buying additional time with his feet. He has tremendous footwork, but he doesn't look to run. His eyes are always scanning downfield as he scrambles. 2) He put the ball in some spots that only his receivers had a chance to make the play. Sometimes they made the play. Sometimes they didn't. But his overall accuracy is as good as anybody I've ever seen. I only remember one play from that game where a receiver was just running wide open for a score. You give any QB enough time, or in Howard's case he's able to create enough time for himself, then he's going to find a receiver open. It's just really, really difficult for high-school secondaries to blanket everyone for 6 seconds or longer. ASH has two legitimate studs in the secondary. Chris Clark (#6) is the free safety. He still has a ways to go in coverage, but he's a tremendous athlete and big hitter. Jaylin Johnson (#12) is the best athlete and cover guy they have in the secondary. But he's just a sopre with limited experience who has so much room to grow. When all is said and done, he might be the best cornerback to ever come out of Central Louisiana.

Colleges are already all over Johnson since his freshman year. Kid is a stud. And it really is tiring of people comparing games with locale being a LARGE factor. It is ultra impressive for STM to travel as far as they did to play at Ruple Stadium where magic has been known to happen at crazy times, and win. Traveling to play ASG at a much shorter distance and playing well isn't all too impressive at all to me. High school kids staying focused on long bus drives is as difficult as game prep during week. If WM had played catholic at Catholic that game would have been over at half. They never travel far to play a topnotch opponent unless it is playoffs, and never win either anymore. STM and Catholics victories in consecutive weeks up north is truly impressive and remarkable.
