You replied to a poster who said "ECA struck fear in the hearts of opponents back in the day." by saying this:
"I would rather see teams that are building programs with neighborhood kids DO THE SAME, as opposed to seeing "the blueprint" schools (JCC, LCA, ECA) run roughshod."'
So the PREMISS of your first post in the thread was to show that you preferred to see teams building programs with neighborhood kids strike fear into the hearts of opponents RATHER than see the "blueprint" schools run roughshod.
Then you listed 5 characteristics of the "blueprint" schools you would prefer not to run roughshod. So I pulled up each one of your characteristics and showed that the "blueprint" schools were not at fault in any of them. You could not show I was wrong so instead of replying to my reasons the "blueprint" schools were not at fault you claimed you never had a problem with "blueprint" schools or "football factories"in the first place and accused me of "changing your premiss".
You said: "I never have said that there is "something wrong" with that. I never said that there is "something wrong" with being a football factory."
So here's my question:
Why would you prefer to see teams that are building programs with neighborhood kids "do the same", (strike fear into the hearts of opponents) as opposed to seeing "the blueprint" schools (JCC, LCA, ECA) run roughshod? UNLESS YOU THINK THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH "BLUEPRINT" OR FOOTBALL FACTORY SCHOOLS?
Can you answer that without changing the subject? I'm betting you will change the subject and your reply will not include a single reason.

Is their something "WRONG" with pineapples? As I pointed out Sixie, you consistently change things slightly, then go on and on and on destroying the strawman. Are you really that desperate for attention?

I'm so excited to see a new rivalry started with Indy gone. This one has been going on for a while now. It's very entertaining. Its Tuesday. No football, nothing on TV, so this will be great. Retired is getting prepared. He's pulling out all sorts of football stat books, all kind of football journals, rule books, player stats, enrollment numbers, a couple of philosophy books; hell, I think he's even got an atlas.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but it is just a preference. In Louisiana the neighborhood small schools are in the more rural areas, and maybe it is the football romantic in me, but when it comes to small enrollment schools beating bigger schools, I guess I like the fictional Hickory High (Hoosiers) style storybook outcomes as opposed to the other blueprint schools with teams made of many kids who probably would not attend the school if football was removed from the schools and made a club sport. My issue with Sixie is his constant reliance on strawmen. In this thread, he introduces his strawman ("something wrong") and then just drones on and on arguing against something that he himself introduced.

"I'm betting you will change the subject and your reply will not include a single reason."
And guess what? You changed the subject to pizza and did not give one single logical reason why you prefer to see teams that are building programs with neighborhood kids strike fear into the hearts of opponents rather than seeing "blueprint" schools (JCC, LCA, ECA) run roughshod.
I didn't ask you anything about pineapple on pizza. Food taste has nothing to do with my question. I asked you a precise question and I am waiting for a precise answer. If you have no answer then just admit that nothing you have said to me about "blueprint" schools is legitimate.
I am going to try again. And this time please stick to your actual reasons instead talking about pizza or of acting like a slow moving fat kid with glasses in a 7th grade relay race. No one prefers anything without reasons. Just answer the question.
Why do you prefer to see teams that are building programs with neighborhood kids strike fear into the hearts of opponents as opposed to seeing "the blueprint" schools (JCC, LCA, ECA) run roughshod?

Your problems with schools like ECA abd Curtis are well known by anyone on this board who has read your posts. To suggest that it is all just football romanticism is downright laughable and disengenous on your part to say the least.
How about these things you said about the schools to which you gave the negative title of "blueprint" schools?1) Open k-12 (or preK -12) small Christian school in major metro area.
2) Place heavy emphasis on athletics when making school based decisions.
3) "Attract" a few key players from the wealth of talent in that metro area to mix in with general population of talent that a normal school of your size may have
4) Leverage these few into success which begets future success and more "attractions".
5) Move up the classifications, bringing more attention and more "attractions" who ordinarily would not be attending your school if school based sports was not a thing. So do you consider these things to be good and honorable things that those schools should be commended for doing or do you consider these things to be doing something wrong.
Just asking. Not that I actually expect a reasonable answer.

It wouldn't take a good psychiatrist long to see which of us has a problem. I asked a reasonable question. Do you think these things are good or bad. A sane and reasonable answer would be EITHER, I think they are good OR I think they are bad. So what is YOUR answer? Strawmen...Strawmen...everywhere Strawmen. And you think I have a problem? LOL!!
