Weak district and an embarrassingly weak out of district schedule last year gave you a false sense of how good you were. I see you've upgraded the non-district schedule. Expect a return to reality in some of those games. You guys may end up with someone you can beat in the first round but that will be as far as you go. Know your limitations brother. Weak district? Many & Winnfield are supposed to be so good but our district is weak. I’m not saying we will be competing for a state title but anyone who knows anything bout Red River can see we are finally turning the baseball program around. Winnfield is not very good. They should score a lot of runs, but don’t have much pitching at all. Not a good formula to win alot. Many should be solid. I agree Red River is much improved, good luck on the season. |

Kinder will be battle tested very quickly. DeRidder, Sulphur, and Notre Dame plus the usual trip to Monroe for the Altick Classic in the first 2 weeks of the season. We can add Sam Houston to that list. Part of the Kinder tournament. The game was moved to Saturday to avoid conflict with Girls 🏀 Quarterfinals game against Rayville. |

They will have 2 really good games next week to really see how much they have improved. Everyone wants to keep downing them because of past years. Yes we were horrible for awhile but the program is heading the right direction. These boys are starting to believe in themselves finally. Choudrant & West Ouachita will test them. I don’t think they are quite over the hump yet but good things are happening here. Let us enjoy it and maybe catch a game before you jump on here and start dogging those boys. |

I am very aware of their history and their success last year. I seen those boys play and the Freshman class with the Superintendent's son have a bright future but I'm not going to put them up with Many, DeQuincy, Winnfield (I know they're down but they have history on their side), and all of the other program that been consistent. Kinder went 2-2 at the Altick with losses to Jena and some Swiss cheese defense from Arkansas. Picked up wins against Cedar Creek(5-1) and Oak Grove(12-7). Errors are killing us and lead to 11 unearned runs in the 2 losses. Kinder didn’t throw their best arms in those 2 games but the errors are disappointing. On a positive note Kinder scored 40 runs during the 3 day event. Still a lot of season left.
