Many is easily better than DQ have more arms tuis year. They will win best of three. I Don’t think Frey had a hit against them in two games.

I think Red River just despises Many which I kind of already figured that being that my wife is from Many and all I hear from the in laws is that they can’t stand RR 😂 In all seriousness, congrats to Red River on the big win but still have a lot to prove in the playoffs, do they have potential to become a solid program? Maybe so but still gotta take it one game at a time and not boast after beating B and C schools, as for Many, they are better than last year and just so happend to have an off game last night but they’ll bounce back, are they better than my DeQuincy Tigers? Honestly I believe we are both evenly matched on paper and the field and both could make a run to Sulphur, problem with DQ right now is that we’re just not hitting the ball very well.. only had 4 hits last night against Rosepine who by the way is probably the best hitting team out of 1A, 2A, and 3A combined, we had it tied until about the 5th then we just made silly errors and it cost us on top of cold bats.. Winnfield is usually a consistent team, feel like they will give some team a headache in the playoffs. Winnfield has been inconsistent which should be expected with such a young team. They've played an extremely tough schedule but have been improving. We started a massive rebuild after the covid season when we lost half dozen 3 or four year starters. Last year was tough but in the end we were able to improve enough to win district then lost a toss up game to Many in the first round. I expected this to be another tough year but have been surprised. We have the talent to win district and a couple rounds in the playoffs. We have the inexperience to not win another game. Regardless, we will be much better next year. Two years from now, we going to win a whole lot of games.

Here we go first no way we would make it past 3 innings with Many. We beat them now they not legitimate enough. I hope we get to see Dequincy in the playoffs so we can shut them up. I’m pretty sure RR has a better shot at winning district then Dequincy We would run rule y'all my friend. Pretty sure that’s what everybody thought Many was gonna do to us too.

I have nothing to do with the team or school other than having 2 boys playing. I don’t despise Many. In my opinion Many has sit the bar for our district in football & baseball. We are trying to build a consistent, winning program here and to me beating Many is showing me that we are the right track. Winnfield has a heck of a program as well. I think we can beat them too. We didn’t play great when we met last week but in district tourney they will see a much different RR team. I know our past history has not been great but we are working hard to change that culture for RR Baseball. Our coaches and players are putting in a lot of work to improve things. We are along way from where we want to be but way ahead of where we have been in the past. We are a very young team as well and will only get better. I’m excited to actually see some competitive games for our boys against really good teams like Many & Winnfield.

Hoping we can keep that streak going but it may be Red River or Many. I have to admit, if someone told me RR had a shot at winning a district title in baseball a few years ago I would have thought they were crazy. You all have definitely done a 180 on the program. That's good for yall and every other team in the district.

We are trying to get baseball on that level. Many is a football and softball school. Those two programs are at the top yearly. We are trying to get baseball there….we are a good baseball team good enough to go to Sulphur but we still have to get it done. Football goes to the dome every year. Three years in a row to be exact.

Correction: Many is a football school. Just because softball won state last year doesn't mean you're now a softball school. If you win this year and consistently stay at the top for the next few years then ya'll earned the title of being a softball school just like football earned their spot.

We are struggling this year but in all honesty Winnfield's softball program has been about as consistent over the last 10 to 15 years as just about any other 2a/3a school. Haven't managed to win a title yet, but guessing we'd have a few if we were comparing to the current split format. Or if those dirty dogs from Florein in Sabine parish wouldn't have gotten our coach years ago lol.

Loreauville 1 Notre Dame 0 FINAL
To add to this, it was a classic pitching matchup. Tigers scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 6th. Of course, the Tigers took control when I took over as the announcer around the 4th inning.
Riley Marcotte (LHS) - 6.2 IP, 2 H, 6 BB, 8 Ks Andrew Berard (LHS) - 0.1 IP, 0 H Evan Leblanc (ND) - 6.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 6 Ks

Could see 6-12 moving around a lot the last week or so but looks like the top 4 slots are wrapped up unless we have some major upsets

Winnfield upsets Many 6-5 Not that it really matters but would thus really be considered an upset? Many was ranked higher at the time so I would say at that time yes. I will say Winnfield has steadily improved and Many seems to have peaked early. Breaux has done a fantastic job with a young team.

Winnfield upsets Many 6-5 Did many have a bad game? Not really. Pretty evenly matched. Could have went either way. Winnfield went up early. Many came back to get ahead in the 6th. Winnfield went back up in the bottom of 6 with a home run. Many has more experience. Think Winnfield has a little more talent.

Just saying they were so close in rankings prior to the game that they flipped in the rankings based off that one game.

We had a great year. Lost in the state championship to another great program. We beat them last year, they got us this year.
We have a great program as consistent as there is in the state. 3 straight championship appearances, not May can claim that besides maybe LCA.

Many has been on a heck of a run over the last decade or so in football. No denying that. You'd probably take less ribbing if you didn't feel the need to constantly remind everyone of the exploits. A discussion about ping pong could be happening. No doubt Many would have the unbeatable best ping pong player of all time. Then when Many loses, the conversation about ping pong ends in order to remind everyone about how great Many is in every other sport. It's a predictable pattern.

Please don’t take this as harassment, but the baseball always seems to be on the cusp of breaking through and hasn’t yet. I feel like quite a few times they have been a really good team with a legit chance at the semis and then fall apart. I honestly thought us and Red River would be playing for a distant 2nd this season.
