Which team taking a step back from last year success? Oak Grove is bringing back their whole roster last year besides one of the closing pitchers. So think they have a high chance of repeating. Would Sterlington be considered a dark horse? This one is difficult for me to say so just going to skip this one haha |

DeQuincy lost Ashworth, Maddox, and a couple others but I think they should be just fine, I don’t see why they wouldn’t be back in the title game, and yes I’m going to go out on a limb here and state the fact that DQ has some unfinished business with OG! One game at a time!
Also really hoping for another strong year for teams in SWLA!

I will also never forget that pitcher. I was thinking the whole game this kid has pitched 100 pitches the game before and then starting this one maybe 3 innings and he is out.................. nope. Kid just kept bringing it. I know he has no idea who I am or even care haha but he gained a fan out of me that day. |

I can’t wait… with D1 commits and the whole lineup and pitching staff back, this should be Chalmette’s year to win a playoff round or two, but we’re playing a schedule that will kill our power ranking… few games against the teams we should be playing

I wouldn’t say sterlington is a dark horse I would say they are the front runners for 3A. They return 2 seniors who were on the coaches all state list for 3A, bring in an LSU commit, and also have a top ranked sopre who has a full year of experience under his belt. On top of all that berwick who put them out last year and was the best team lost pretty much every start except a few and lost their head coach so they aren’t expected to be very good at all. To me the heavy favorite for 3A would be sterlington with south Bo right behind them.

Berwick hasn’t really reloaded at all. They lost the best player in their programs history to the mlb draft and their coach left for a reason. Even talking to berwick players last year they said after this year the program would be in a rebuild. Teams to look for in 3A besides sterlington tho would be South Bo, kinder, and even rospine

West monroe has 90 percent of their team back they lost a couple of good seniors in Trent Anderson and Jack Cowen. They have been as high as no 2 in some national rankings.

Sam Houston is pretty much intact from last year. Sulphur lost a ton but should be OK. No one is really discussing the Barbe stuff here, but they are loaded regardless. DQ is solid, Westlake is getting better and St. Louis has dudes. Should be another great year of baseball in SWLA!

So they will be struggling this year to stay above.500 I think. |
