This ruling by the LHSAA is 100% proof that Bonine and crew are owned by certain private schools and their owners/administrators. There is not a single reason that can be given why the kid at Evangel is eligible before the 1 year anniversary of his transfer to Evangel. Evangel has almost always gotten the benefit of the doubt and the old blind eye in these situations. Calvary really isn't much better. Not one single reason? Bona fide move into schools district Dad got job at City of Shreveport last year. They lived in Cotton Valley. Move cuts over an hour off of travel time to work. A) He was already enrolled in a private school in Shreveport. B) This move was 100% motivated by athletics so he didn't have to sit behind Abram Wardell for two more years. C) This is an awful precedent set by the LHSAA.

I was saying the move to Shreveport is understandable to cut travel time.

I was saying the move to Shreveport is understandable to cut travel time. Just to be clear: Are you saying that the family moved from Cotton Valley to Shreveport into the Evangel attendance zone? Did this move happen prior to or after his transfer from Calvary to Evangel? If it happened after, how is the move considered bonafide and not anything other than trying to get him eligible to participate in athletics immediately?

Yes on the move. Unsure on timing. I agree with your logic of the "after" but still think could be argued.

The family was living in Cotton Valley still while he was attending Calvary in junior high for sure. At that time, the dad was working for Webster Parish schools in some form and the mom is still employed there as far as I know. Driving to Calvary to drop him off and then driving back to Minden for work. Now whether or not they actually made the move to Shreveport or are just claiming to have done so, I don't know and nor do I care. But that is fact coming from people who used to work with the family.

That’s a lot of work to play 2 extra games. He was going to be eligible week 3 I thought I think this decision was argued for and made because of baseball more than football. He was declared immediately eligible for baseball this Spring. It's totally bogus and a complete joke by the LHSAA and shows how much certain schools pull their chain.

Maybe because it's a transfer from one select school to another select school. Doesn't hurt the non-selects.
