why Winnfield over Sumner? I'm not that informed on baseball. Just curious Looking at schedules, it appears Winnfield was short players to start the season. They lost their first 10 games then went 11-5 the rest of the season. Don’t know much about Sumner except for first round exits the last few years. I’m worried about pitching. We don’t have a deep staff. We need the ace to throw 5/6 innings in game one to save what little bp for game 2 and 3 |

Jewel Sumner wins game two 3/2 to clinch the series.
The starter for game 2 showed a lot of guts and grit in the 6th when Winnfield had the bases loaded with no outs. Gets out of the jam to secure the lead.

Yes, DOMINATED! Loreauville literally only threw 4 pitchers total in all 3 games. Rosepine went through 8 pitchers, burned their DH in game 3, & had nobody left on the bench to hit. In game 2, Rosepine didn't get a hit until the 5th inning, their starter couldn't get out of the 3rd inning, & they brought in a freshman just to survive the game. In game 3, once the Tigers jumped on them, the players & coaches were hanging their heads & arguing with each other. They were beat after the 2nd inning. If KP doesn't run through the stop sign at 3rd, it's over in 5 by run rule. |

I watched Doyle in the semis and finals last year. Loved watching their ace RHP throw in the semis. Ump was giving him grief about his unusual motion and delivery.

I will second this while idk how much of difference in performance it would’ve made for either team I will agree to the fact of that field was in horrendous condition and should’ve been moved, but to my understanding the SB players talked their coach out of moving it because it was their last home game. Many fans showed up wearing rubber boots lol |
