Those words have never came out of my mouth. I have always had the upmost respect for the Notre Dame program, especially Coach Cook. As a matter of fact, you are promoting that notion more than anybody, with what you are insinuating about Kinder.
I never said you said it. I said s say it. The shoe must have fit? Really? Thats "all you heard"? So even your private school buddies feel the same? Everyone you have discussed it with? No one thinks otherwise? Or maybe you're exaggerating to prove your point...sort of like last week when you compared the split to segregation of blacks and whites in the Jim Crow days. Give me a break.

True, I am pulling for Kinder in the B bracket, and Opelousas Catholic in the A bracket. Our current and future district mates. I am a little board, but fixing to tee off shortly! bored*** Stick to the weather!

He is lonely because he doesn't have a team to pull for. Except us. And he likes repeating rumors. About us, he's a KINDER fan. He's like Charlie Brown's teacher. Wonk wonk wonk wonk. We know we're not in the B bracket, we're in the A bracket. The 2-A bracket. Let's just focus on that for now. Sterlington is an outstanding team and our boys are gonna have to give it their all Friday. God willing, the weather will cooperate and it will be a good tournament for all teams and fans. All the Way Big K !!!!!

You just said that it's highly unusual for a 2A team to continually have good pitching but it is normal for Kinder. I'm just questioning how is that possible for a small town NOT- SELECT school to do that? It is unusual, if it wasn't they wouldn't have the district and state championships that they have. But what is more unusual is the unmatched involvement that the little league program has had, the community support, the coaches who have learned from some of the best in the state. Men like Lynn Savant and Rick Whittington, who really put Kinder baseball on the map. That is the stuff that produces three good pitchers on one double-A team...not what you are insinuating. Are you JT Curtis? Geez. So building a good program works. It also attracts kids from neighboring towns and parishes. Thanks for proving my point. I'm guessing it won't be long before the publics boot y'all too.

You are obviously don't realize that your constant need to attack schools like Kinder with unfounded allegations, only makes the arguememt for the split even stronger. Instead of fighting against what you see as an injustice, you just point fingers at everyone else. Of course it attracts students from other parishes, but that doesn't mean those kids are coming in illegally. Public schools have legally enforced attendance zones. Private's do not...it's that simple.

That's priceless coming from someone who doesn't know the difference between board and bored, principle and principal, your and you're, or spelling and grammar. Yes, please "dumb down" your superior conversation skills, you're just way over my head.

Congrats Spelling is one thing, but it really does get confusing when you use the entirely wrong word. Maybe you should get some help. Night class or something like that? You may have to complete an application or draft a resume one day for a big boy job. That lack of command of the English language will cause some embarrassment, likely not on you (due to your utter lack of awareness and couth), but on the people who may have considered hiring you for anything above a minimum wage position.

You mean inferiority complex? Right? Yes, mea culpa. But I did spell nerd correctly, right? Again, spelling isn't your problem as much as using the wrong version of the word. I know it's difficult for you to grasp, but just give it a minute. It's not mispelling when you use the wrong word! But of course, you're the smartest guy on the board, so you know that, don't you?

I'm sure it helped to build your self esteem being around the team?

System is so stupid either stick to 1 game or do best of three for the whole thing. It's really stupid how they do best of 3 in round two and quarters then 1 game in semi. I wish they would be a true double elimination tournament once you get to the state tournament. I think this would allow the kids to really enjoy and experience the tournament and then the true best team will prevail, not someone with the best pitcher there. How many times have you seen kids get there for the first time, feel the pressure, get big eyed and crap the bed in the first inning and are now screwed. They dont get to enjoy the tournament, because the game is over in 1.5-2 hours. Plus the LHSAA would make more money and you know they love that. They could even do this in SB and stop making the quarters part of the tournament. Keep in mind they're STUDENT-athletes. How do you justify missing a week worth of high school to play a sport? Who pays for the 3 day hotel stay? What about officials? (BTW, I'll be umpiring one of those champion games). How do you get 48 officials to be in Sulphur for a week when we have regular jobs? Who pays for the hotels of those officials and their game pay? Too many negatives to stretching this into a week long double elimination tournament.

Im sure it can be done in 2-3 days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday), and honestly by this time of year most schools are pretty much finished up with state testing and most class work their on cruise control right now. Remember theres only 4 teams playing, that means there are a total six games being played (just have championship be winner take all). The tournament doesnt have to be in Sulphur, it can be in another location of the state that has the facilites to accomodate these games. I think Sulphur has 3 high school fields (may be wrong), but Im sure there is another town that has 4-5 turf high school fields that can be used. Who pays for the fast pitch 56, or whatever it is now. The schools and LHSAA pay for rooms, Im sure they would love all the extra gate money and split of concession money they would earn.

Its fine the way it is now. The Regionals and Quarterfinals are already double elimination. Thats enough to " Separate the Men from the Boys ", as the saying goes. The LHSAA doesn't pay the parents and fans way for the Tournament. Could make for very lopsided Championship games too because the team from the losers bracket has no pitchers left.
