Nice win for the Tigers. Carter rushed for 264 yards and Collier had 110. Red River had one big play and that was really it for them. How is beating Red River a nice win? Geez. I mean I've gotta call a spade a spade here. I've seen Red River get throttled year after year after year by Calvary and Calvary hasn't made it past the 2nd round of the playoffs in over 3 years. You guys in Many crack me up. The mentality down there is ridiculous. You guys are not good at all. Can you imagine how good they would be if they had a decent coaching staff? They have 1000 students in Sabine parish to pick from in 2A. They should be steam rolling teams

Sabine is a basketball parish, always has been. The many team is many kids that are from there, kids from Florien or Zwolle don't want anything to do with that school, due to the commitment to basketball. I'm from Florien and my wife is from Zwolle, the dislike between the basketball schools and many runs deep! However, it is starting to change due to the parish hype around the program there at many, and if they ever get those basketball athletes from around the parish interested that will be a big problem for 2A programs. This hasn't happened yet, but i can see it getting there over the next 3-4 years if many stays mostly successful with deep playoff runs.

Oh I believe it’s starting to happen now...just 2or3 yrs ago they had a basketball kid from Pleasant Hill I believe he played WR and now you got the Booker kid from Florien yeah his dad is the principal and it is what it is....but being the only football playing school in the Parish it’s all legit and I’m cool with that....but you are 100% correct on the dislike between the basketball programs in the parish...and now that the Booker kid left Florien and will play basketball at Many I’m sure the Flo-town faithful isn’t happy lol...Many has a good shot at a BBall championship now...

Or if they have 1000 students to choose from shouldn't they play with similar size schools? Seems the the Booker led LHSAA has some serious self serving issues.

Indy...it is what it is...that’s just the world that we live in today...but I can tell you this...like the poster noob33 mentioned about the BBall programs in the parish and he was just being nice when he said they “dislike” each other...you have to be from Sabine parish to really understand it...yeah Many may be able to get kids from the whole parish but I can guarantee you it ain’t as easy as you think...they may have gotten the two that I mentioned but when your parents and grandparents and their parents all grew up playing basketball for a certain school in Sabine parish, you just don’t pack up and go play football in Many no matter how successful their are...like I said you have to be from Sabine parish to really understand the love and passion that those small schools have for basketball...that’s all they have....so yeah Many may be able to draw from those schools but to actually get a kid from one of those schools, you probably have a better shot at selling ice to an Eskimo.....so if LHSAA says they are non-select I guess it non-select...Now that my kids are in college and I don’t have a dog in the hunt I still pull for Calvary/North DeSoto and Many being I have ties to all 3....

I'm sorry I've made comments directed at Many. It has nothing to do with the people of Many as I have some great friends from that area. My disdain is for one individual that spearheaded this select/Non-Select catastrophe that we have today. They couldn't beat one private school so they made every private school suffer.

They had 19 on their 2014 championship team,,so it can't be that hard, apparently Eskimos need ice! But with the LHSAA being all about a level playing field it's seems odd that they let a couple 2A schools play with a different set of rules, doesn't seem that fair to the rest.

19 kids, Indy? over 1/4 of their team? You seem to know plenty about Many. Where's the proof of all these kids not being from there?

Thanks to the freedom of information act I read the minutes of the executive committee meeting from January 2015. Apparently another school turned them in.. That's when they voted a retro-active rule which allowed them to keep their trophy. They also had references to it in an email chain from Booker and his coconspirators.

I’m not from Sabine parish but I’m willing to bet, it maybe 5 kids out of the 90 plus kids on the team that doesn’t actually live in Many. I have friends and family from Sabine parish and it’s still a basketball parish and it’s like someone stated earlier, to switch schools is like selling ice to a eskimo.

I got two text from others that read the same doc, they said I streatched it a bit one said he remembered it to be 12, the other 15. The point is, is it fair?

I Indy loves to talk about all this proof, but never has anything to back it up. Always some rogue email, or disgruntled ex coach, or my personal favorite “guys from Many I’ve talked to up at Toledo Bend”. Trust me asking him for evidence is a complete waste of time. Once I asked him for evidence to back up his claim that Kinder had players that are zoned for Elton on their team and literally gave me the address of their grandfathers farm supply buisiness in Elton as a smoking gun...lord knows of your grandpas has a business in a neighboring community that you have to live and go to school there or get accused of cheating.

Let me just tell you how this works.
1. Indy makes some kind of unfounded accusations.
2. When pressed about it, he claims to have some kind of inside source and/or something he dug up from the freedom of information act.
3. When pressed further, he says he would release this information, but doesn’t want to hurt the players.
4. When presssd further, he calls you stupid.

Indy, you have ocean front property in Arizona for sale? He’ll buy anything that fits his narrative. I can hear him now, “I’ll have a dozen incriminating email chains and throw in a box of this magic beans”.

I've no skin in that game. I do find it hard to believe that something as significant as what is being suggested wouldn't be reported about and made to be public with proof

Betwee Zwolle and Florien the two programs have 23 state basketball titles if I'm not mistaken. Many just doesn't yet have the pull to change the culture in this parish. People who are from a football dominated school can't seem to understand it but the whole of Sabine parish other than many can't understand what the fuss is about high school football. We all pull for many just love the basketball game more. It's funny to hear people who think many can do as they like throughout the parish, that's just not true, YET!
