To my pals from Kinder and Welsh. Amite will be a tough out but they are beatable. They are loaded with speed, they have to be in the top 3 of fastest teams I've ever seen. They are also huge from the lineman to wrs. They run shotgun with 4 wrs and run go routes and just dare u to keep of which u can't. The qb has a cannon and I think the wrs had glue on their hands. Offensively they never stopped us we just killed ourselves with bonehead play calling when we got in their territory. We only had one drive we didn't get to their 30. We would run it all the way down the field then try to throw. We were never going to stop them but it should have been a 1-2 score game. We ended up with 130 passing yards and 230 rushing averaging 5 yards a carry

Yea I hope they get a population increase like Sterlington lol They’ve been a top program in 3A for years. I believe they were the last team to make the cut down to 2A. Hope we get the chance to play them. The next two years may be our only shot.

I thought they were a lock too before the season started. After 12 weeks i'm not convinced they can even get to the Dome. They have to get by St. Helena again who they barely beat the first time which i think contributed to them having a let down the next week and losing to a mediocre Select team. They would have to get by Ferriday the next week, a long road trip, which i think is where they fall. Amite could be in for another nail bitter against St. Helena while Ferriday is coasting to an easy victory over Red River. On that side of the bracket, the road to the Dome doesn't go thru Amite. As of right now, it goes thru #2 Ferriday.

Another thing with the bench clearing brawl they had last year I was a little worried about them being poor sports. I was wrong about that completely they helped our guys up off the ground and we're quick to take a knee when our guys were hurt. They laid the wood when they hit for sure.

If u talking about that fight they had with Bogalusa that got them disqualified from the playoffs, that was 2 years ago. I wasn't there but Amite was ahead 56-20 at the time so i could guess who started that one.

Amite got a bad rep from that from the outside world who wasn’t familiar with what really happened. Bog was and is very humbugish and can be extremely unsportsmanlike in any sporting activities they participate in. They already had it planned if they were losing they were going to go out with a bang because they don’t care.

Think Red River may be the weakest of the teams left but we will finally see a good gave on them this week. Northeast is a bit of a surprise somewhat but at the beginning of the season I seen all these names minus red river so 2A has shook out about what we thought. There is not really any cake walks left this season for anyone.

And if they are as you say “average” than why are you so worried about playing playoff games against “average” teams? You say it’s about competition, Notre Dame is WAY above average, how would average teams elevate the competition?
