Zachary has picked up two studs this off-season--J'Darius Carter from Slaughter High. Big kid who will be a junior and will add even more depth to an already deep defensive line (could play offensive line).
Also, Holstein little bro will be there from word of it to take Brown's place after this season.
Also, Zachary got back their massive guard Kade Williams who is 6'3" 320. Zachary is loaded boys. Seems they filled the holes along the line and at linebacker.
Acadiana and Zachary is going to be must see next season like Acadiana/STM back in 2010.

Good spot for Holstein if that’s true. I know LCA don’t want to hear that 😂😂😂

They have already said the EJ (Errol Rogers, Jr.) will be the QB to start the season. I thought Brylan Green would start, TBH. I see a lot of upside with Green but I guess the coaches are looking for a little more experience and maybe height, Brylan was 4 inches shorter than EJ last year. But, yeah, the Holstein kid would have been a good addition.

Eli Holstein have a parent in the area? Man, I truly do not know. I just going by what I was told. He will be a freshman I believe. Zachary has placed two straight QB's in college with Scott and Brown. So, Zachary has the track record for development. Zachary is now a true state juggernaut. As long as Brewerton stays and his staff also stays for the most part while developing young coaches, they will be a power. Kuddos must be given to MT. If you think he doesn't know his stuff, then you are a delusional . He called Zachary becoming a power three years ago. Instead of scoffing and laughing I listened to him intently and decided I would begin following them closely. And here we are. They are getting kids to want to play and the community support is tremendous. Kids are wanting to move in and play there also. Brewerton will be a key speaker for the TigerRag event coming up I believe this week in baton rouge. Recognition and respect on his name and they all will follow. And word is stone cold here up north. If Arledge does not win this year he is gone. There is no other chance after this season. They will move on. Came verh close after loss to Zachary in semis two years ago and likely should have done so then. This senior class of theirs was all the rave both here on this site, other sites, and around town. They were to bring another epic run of 2 or 3 titles. Zero will be unacceptable. If they do not win this year with this bunch the last few years they will be going a long time before another chance presents itself as talent is not nearly as good as they have had the last 5 years.

BTW, Will Campbell will be ranked on our list here. Obviously, he’ll be the highest ranked sopre.

Their sopre class is loaded as well. Will have to wait to see his development.

BTW, Will Campbell will be ranked on our list here. Obviously, he’ll be the highest ranked sopre. I figured it was likely he would be brother. Saw him the other day at Canes and he is one young dude. He hasn't even hit his growth spurt! Looks like a big puppy still! Kid will be in the league. If he doesn't get hurt or get burned out--not likely I know--he will be making money playing football.

It is a mess isn't it Indy? I knew it was coming with Zachary. Check Zachary since last season ended Indy: They lost Brady to graduation and replaced him with a kid who I never saw play last year at Zachary and have no idea where he is from, in a kid named Riley Howard. Kid is a beast middle linebacker and will be only a sopre this year. They lost their interior offensive line at both guards and one tackle. They pick up a stud from Slaughter who is a machine and then somehow a kid that hasn't played in two years returns who is a monster in Kade Williams. Now we know Brown will be graduating and here comes a top rated QB. They are for all intents and purposes WM2. Now yall down there will have to deal with it as North Louisiana did for last 2 decades plus.

That is what I've been waiting to hear from everyone here!! They are all select 🤣🤣😂😂🤣 The idea of select and non select is just word play. All schools have equal ability to get any player that wishes to play at their school. They created an illusion of advantage. There isn't any. I've read the entire by laws looking for any built in advantage. THERE ISN'T ANY. Now we have Zachary who will be another WM and get players coming on as long as Brewerton and his staff continue to develop players. They are technically a select school now. Period.

I'm pretty sure that's the only way it's a possibility. Get a court order of supervision to be immediately eligible in a separate parish.

I was thinking the football version of what Barbe is doing in baseball since I didn't live through WM's best days, but it's probably about the same ion any case.

I’ve backed off information a lot and didn’t see the Holstein thing coming but now that it’s here, it makes sense.
I stay in Baton Rouge and worked in Lafayette for 8 years. The drive is not bad as long as there is no accident on the Atchafalaya. The ride back to Baton Rouge/Zachary in the evening will be a doozy(assuming getting off work at 5pm-ish) but it’s attainable. Holstein will be well taken care of in Baton Rouge you can book it.
Dad saw the writing on the wall that Howard’s kid is going to get all the pub and notoriety and now his kid isn’t left out there sharing snaps and will compete for state.
If Mahaffey hadn’t left UHigh I’d bet anything he’d be there instead.
So after years of down Louisiana QB recruits you’ll now have Walker Howard. Eli Holstein and Arch Manning. Buckle your seatbelts boys, gonna be kinda fun

Buckle your seatbelts boys, gonna be kinda fun I guess I’m naive but I only know of a couple cases where a dad sent his son to a school other than ND so his son had a better chance of playing., in most cases we make school choices for our kids based on what’s overall best for them, or what a family can afford. I can’t wrap my head around these snap decisions. I’m glad my time has come and gone as a son and a father regarding school choice, their was never a clearer decision my grandfather, my dad or myself had. We all attend Catholic schools whether we played or sat the bench.

So, they will just reload next season like they did when Scott and his class graduated.

I thought NISH would handle them. That was when Zachary started their reign of terror. I really didn’t know anything about them until then

I bought the Louisiana Football Magazine every year and remember reading an article about the growth and potential out there. That season was to be one of their best teams according to the book. They played Ouachita in the quarters I believe and lost on a wild play at the end when Jimmy Young broke a slip screen down for a touchdown with about 20 seconds remaining or so. They seemed to disappear for awhile after that up until Lindsey Scott's junior year they took Acadiana to the limit in a low scoring game. I had been paying attention to them all season but didn't know much more than they seemed salty. They lost to Acadiana 9-6 I believe before Acadiana beat Destrehan I think. Year after that the terror began. Brewerton second season and he has never not gone any farther than the semifinals 🤤
