I played for red river Winfield didn’t score for 5 innings when i was on the mound last year.. and not to mention i was number 6 in the state in batting average and nobody from winnfield was in the top 10.. and to add to that i could have started there with ease Didn’t y’all lose both games by like 15? Max Preps stats also aren’t accurate. A lot of schools only post scores, and since your stat line is missing 9 games, I’m guessing that contributed to that............

Most people that keep stats don’t know a hit from an error. If you were #6 in the state I would assume all district, (maybe MVP) all area, and all state were earned as Well.

I’d like to see these pictures because they needed an upgrade. But I hate to tell the people at RR I don’t ever see them being competitive in baseball. They don’t have a youth program and you can not expect kids to just pick up baseball as a hobby and be successful. Oh I'm sure the youth programs are coming. At the least a travel team I bet. Don't think they would make all those upgrades, not cheap ones either, without a plan. Well not sunken dugouts but still nice That is a sweet set up! Someone in Coushatta is a baseball fan!

Im not so sure Winnfield was shut out for 5 innings straight by Red River. Lol. But they could be interesting program down the road, those new facilities are top of the line. Wow!

I'm from a community where baseball is a fairly big deal, and we don't have anything like that.

Either you are trolling, drunk, high or suffering from early onset dementia. Since moving into Red Rivers district two years ago Winnfield is 5-0 against Red River and outscored them 72-2 in those five games. 4 of the five games only went 2 1/2 to 3 innings. All were over with by the fifth. I repeat -- no one on Red RIvers team would have played for Winnfield. Most wouldn't have made the team. Winnfield's entire starting lineup were 1st-2nd team all district. One reserve sopre was second team. District MVP. Two all state players, 2 more honorable mention all state. When you are playing quality teams like Sterlington, Jena, Cedar Creek, Notre Dame, Loyola etc.... (and beating them) you are playing against very good pitchers. Batting averages tend to drop off some compared to a team playing Calvin, Ringold and Dodson three times a piece. Regardless, no one on Red Rivers teams had the ability to be in the top 100 in batting averages. The only team we played worse than Red River last year was Lakeview. All that being said, I hope Red River improves. Improve for themselves and everyone in their district. It's tough for the kids of Red River to come in and get drummed and its tough for teams like Many and Winnfield to be on a roll and have to finish off the year against teams like Red River and Lakeview. Easy to develop bad habits against bad teams. No doubt, Red River has one of the finest high school facilities in all of Louisiana. I'm glad the gas field money is being used for things like this and to attract a good coach because of how much the teachers and coaches make in the parish. At the end of the day sports like softball and baseball require a good bit of parental support and encouragement when the kids are young. Throwing the ball in the back yard if you know what i mean. Not saying it cant or wont happen. To this point I haven't seen that type of support. Think they had one fan (a mother) when we played you all last year.
