I agree with you on this one , and for someone to get that mad at a chant is a little petty to me, I just think there is more to it for them to just go after the coach like they did. think this was a cop out to get rid of him for whatever the real reasons are.

Like what if this all happened because of some young freshmen and his phone? Anyone who knows Coach Nat knows that he does not curse, scream or carry himself in that way as a man. Unfortunate for the New Orleans area that a strong man has been cancelled in a profession where young men need male role models because of the actions of someone else who will perhaps never be the leader Coach Nat is and will continue to be in the future. Sorry state of affairs.............

Didn't Dequincy make it to the quarters last year like the first time in a long time. Seems like tiger 77 must have a kid who doesn't get his way or something. This year Dequincy is ranked in the too 16 playing a pretty difficult schedule must have a personal problem with the coach. That's what's wrong with sport today parents don't get there way and grip and complain 😂

But what DQ does is based on athleticism alone. Our defense is rough because they change it every week along with our best athletes are kept on offense and play one way. In coaching you have to coach to win. That’s knowledge from experience. If that means playing some kids both ways then so be it. Now that’s logic.

Everyone adds wrinkles weekly in the regular season in addition to running their base stuff. Perhaps you can enlighten us with you thoughts on sub fronts and how much time your OLBs spend with your secondary coach in practice? I mean is DQ's OLBs really 2nd lvl players or just glorified safeties (3rd lvl players) that spend all week with the secondary during individual practice time? That way they never get to really work on their technique vs. the run game (run fits). Seriously.......what the heck are you talking about above guy? Do you even know what 967 544i 322i shade 0 is? Or some guys go 967 544i 321 shade 0. What about being a defensive end in a sub front base defense does not involve some type of athleticism? Like how is athleticism not a factor today versus spread offenses that are down right finesse with speed sweeps etc. Please enlighten us on how you teach defensive lineman to play the puller? Wrong arm or box out? Are you spilling the ball carrier or squeezing him? Do you teach the triangle read in pods with your LBers or cross read the the RB and QB vs Read Option?

Wrong arm or box out? Are you spilling the ball carrier or squeezing him? Do you teach the triangle read in pods with your LBers or cross read the the RB and QB vs Read Option? Shiver.. from a coaching standpoint, I have been there done that. Been asked before to get back in however unfortunately in Louisiana there is a huge pay gap between coaching high school ball and working in other areas. Family and money first. But coaching is without a doubt the greatest pleasure in the world. To address the remainder of your reply my answer lies in your response alone. Your terminology is what is wrong today. These are kids at a high school level. The DQ OLB’s often play on the line and balance between 1st lvl and 2nd lvl. So once backs get to the end, if the OLB is on the line and gets blocked down inside it leaves a CB, being blocked by a WR to make plays. Also, never said athleticism isn’t a factor. What I said was why would you load your offense up with all of your athletes and not have some play both ways. Every team DQ has played this year has had kids play both ways. I simply say play your best player at each position. A coach has to play to win, not having your best players at their position hinders that greatly. On defense DQ is undersized on the line, so you mix things up. DQ has a 3-4 base. There are very seldom blitzes and there are never walk ups. Kinder last week played DQ perfect. Kinder had 3 down linemen and a 4th player coming from somewhere every play. However they would sneak up different defenders to show blitz that would back off and only one would come. What I am saying is one way to negate a size difference is to confuse them. Outsmart them. It happens all the time. For a coach to openly say we got whipped up front on both lines because they were bigger than us is a cop out. I favor a 4-2-5D for a team DQ’s size. SAM usually would align off the 2nd receiver. I like to see the SAM stay out of the box but maintain the ability to come up and set the edge, if the play is away he crashes down and protect cutbacks. I also like to shift my nose and tackles with the strong side while maintaining my ends. This helps protect on running plays because it does cause a guard to pull a longer distance while creating open gaps.

That 1-8 record looks bad, but there aren’t many coaches that would have had much success against the schedule Denham Springs played this year. 5A: Hahnville (8-1) 5A: at Ponchatoula (5-4) 5A: St. Amant (5-4) 4A: Assumption (8-1) 4A: Westgate (7-2) 5A: at Central - B.R. (7-2) 5A: Zachary (6-2) 5A: Live Oak (6-3) 5A: at Walker (7-2) 5A: at Scotlandville (6-3)

More than meets the eye of the schedule at denham springs. New principal, dissension amongst the staff. Coached some games from the booth and not due to health. Denham will have to look itself in the mirror and decide whether they want to build a long-standing program or if they want to run every coach not from the area away. They are running in 3rd place in football and basketball

That schedule should allow them to get at least 3 wins. I don't know the coach. The fact is that they have second most students in the state. Should never be 1-8. I am not calling for a firing of someone but that schedule is not that tough. Zachary and Westgate will go far in playoffs. Hahnville possibly.

If “that schedule is not that tough” then everyone else in the entire state played a weak schedule. It’s literally the toughest schedule by a fairly significant margin.

But he picked up some decent assistants in the off-season give him a little more breathing room. He's been top 2 in the district a couple years now. He has lost to some superior teams. Honestly we just threw the book at y'all and came out in a defense we haven't used against the spread and kept y'all's QB throwing on the run all night. It's not the first time we have seen that result against a good spread team. Defense will come around I believe. Coaches are just trying to find something that works and haven't found that sweet spot yet. It's also hard to win at times when your center is the same size as most wide receivers. DQ ain't bad. Have a little more faith. With a smallish offensive line and not a ton of depth y'all really haven't had a terrible season.
