7.1.2 Special meetings may be called by the Association’s President and must be called within 60 calendar days upon the written request of at least 50 percent of the member schools. If at least 50 percent of the membership has not supported, in writing, the initial request officially submitted to the LHSAA to call a special meeting, the request will be declared null and void.

If this is fact it shows again how Bonine changes the rules as he goes.

7.1.1 AND 7.1.2 might be considered conflicting? Are they calling the June meeting a special meeting?

7.1.1 AND 7.1.2 might be considered conflicting? Are they calling the June meeting a special meeting? 7.1.1 is, and has been considered, the setting of the time and the date of the general assembly. Bonine IS saying that this gives the EC right to call a meeting anytime they so choose, but this is under review.

no dog in this fight but the plain language meaning says that exec committee can call and set meeting dates and times. President can call for special meetings. So was meeting established by exec committee or president. If EC called then rule 7.1 applies and within constitution, if president called then rule 7.2 would apply. Question will be who called for meeting? Based on what what was in paper the EC voted and called for the meeting.

Based on constitution if called by EC it would be regular meeting. Only member schools can request president to call special meeting and that is when 7.2 would apply. At least that is how I read it.
