Catholic education has coexisted in Acadia parish for over 100 years. both have had ups and downs but more about the economy and the choice of parents. And I do believe they will both survive

btown's excuse is that they were too busy to improve it, having to keep re-voting it in every year... FACT: 0-10 TEAMS MAKE THE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS WHEN THEY NEVER DID BEFORE let me repeat that 0-10 TEAMS MAKE THE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS WHEN THEY NEVER DID BEFORE don't think they didn't know that was gonna happen (in the small classes) at the very latest, after year 1, they should have taken their "split" majority and rectified this if they were going to that they haven't done this in three years tells me they might not ever intend to now i'm not a fan of the small classes. my school is 5A. my beef is the year my 5-5, 2nd in district 5A school missed the state playoffs by losing district by three points in the last minute, while 1A and 2A schools (and select schools too, let's be fair) waltz into the playoffs with whatever record Man, Think before you post, geez. You against the split and you complaining about being 5-5 and not making the playoffs? What if the Catholic league, JC, and E were in 5a? You really wouldn't make it. St. Landry Parish announced yesterday that they will in the year this week with a $2.3MM deficit. Good news, it was not $3.3MM. Looks like its time for a complete restructure of that school system. Will Eunice and Port Barre moved to the ISD format to escape the repression?

Besides ecoomy that is why St.Edmund number are going down. This is not the first time St. Landry Parish has had deficits like this, but a good question about Eunice. Port Barre I would say no, even with ISD format they could not escape repression.

They will do like Acadia, put up a tax to vote on 5-6 times till it passes, problem solved.

So, a majority vote against is not desired, so you vote again and again and again until you finally get the results you like? What ever happened to shut up you lost get over it. LOL.....

The superintendent Johnny Bourque literally went to people and Buisnesses and begged them not to protest, which was totally unethical. Funny thing is the majority of the voters have nothing to lose. It was a tax on property tax.
