You're really grasping at straws. btown had asked why all the negative reports, regarding split were coming out of Southeast LA, just showing it wasn't.

I understand yalls side and reasons for the split... but there are simply too many unintended consequences... there will be another association, and there will be interleague competition in non district and a working agreement in both best interests. I don't get yalls infatuation with the LHSAA anyway. If as y'all say, there will be football on Friday nights regardless, do yall really care what league it's in? Too many unintended consequences? Care to elaborate? Another association? Who cares? Interleague competition? Working agreement? Sounds a lot like a split to me. I don't get the infatuation thing but okay. Baseball and Softball will not be played in Sulphur any longer because of the shear number of games in the current format makes it too large. So they will have to shrink the playoffs down to single game eliminations and cannot guarantee a full schedule. Basketball will no longer have a single venue and contracts will be lost. Football Championships were already a point of contention because they are not played on the same weekend and do not get the same coverage. There is favoritism. Several sponsors have already pulled out, to loose a major sponsor such as Allstate would decimate finances. Once the privates move to their own association, the SuperDome will be out of reach for either the private or the publics as a venue do to expense. The LHSAA will have to reduce staff and raise fees and gate concessions to make ends meet. After all, no business can loose approximately 40-45% of their revenue with out major cuts. The LHSAA is now in violation of its Charter as a NON PROFIT by not working for the benefit of the student and instead working for the will of the principals. They possibly as a private organization be forced into a for profit status and be required to pay taxes. Private school parents who support both private schools with tuition dollars and donations and public schools through taxation and donations, will make the decision to toss the public school donations and only give to their kids schools. That's the boat I am currently sitting in. I will not long stop at the public school cheerleaders car wash, or band jambalaya. I am giving my $$$ where it will be used appropriately. How are them apples for a start. There are many more.

How are them apples for a start. There are many more. How are them apples? Pretty bad. Try posting accurate information and I might say different. What you typed about Sulphur no longer willing to host baseball and softball is inaccurate. Ofcourse, in light of what has happened, you and your type would love for it to be true but it isn't. See the following: www.sulphurdailynews.com/news/20160612/spar-intends-to-host-despite-added-lhsaa-championships As far as basketball is concerned you couldn't have typed anything more ridiculous. In 2014 and 2015 Lake Charles hosted both the Top 28 for boys and girls basketball on consecutive weeks. This past season (2016) the Top 28 was held on consecutive weeks once again. The only difference being the girls played in Hammond and the boys played in Lake Charles. It's simple really. A minor adjustment here and there will take care of everything. There won't be any contracts lost. Football, we don't need to go there. We're going into Year 4 of the split. Sponsors pulling out? Tell us who they are. And All-State? As soon as they pull out (I doubt very seriously they would) you'll have sponsors willing to replace them. Enough with the doom and gloom scare tactics. Again, you would love this to come to fruition but it won't. Oh and your new association? A little birdie informed me that there are quite a few private schools that have zero interest in leaving the LHSAA. Lastly, it's so funny to see you speaking on behalf of private school parents like myself and their intentions to withhold donations from public schools. We are not in the same boat.

Sure it's obvious there is a block schools that feel they can't compete or refuse to work at it. It's the whole reason for the split. But it doesn't mean that we have to accept it without a fight. It's a shame y'all don't work as hard in football as y'all do playing Dodge ball! Geez You and yours of your ilk will eventually have to accept it. That might be today. It might be tomorrow. Weeks maybe; even months. Hell it might even be years from now BUT YOU WILL ACCEPT IT - ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. Says the supporter of the segregation movement... Just accept it. It's what the people want. Separate but equal...

Yep....all correct. Bonine, Bonifee, and Guice have all done there best to attempt to lie and scare the masses. BOOM!!! Didn't work. Now that the media has released the data on just how all who attended voted, a few things are clear. 1) several select school voted for the split. It suits them. 2) several non select voted for other options. It suits them. 3) The vast majority voted for the split for the 4th time. 4) Bonifee and Bonine were made look silly by those in attendance and members of the Executive Council. 5) The principal of Beekman Charter is as fun as a barrel full of monkeys. 6) Riversides coach is mad. 7) JT is mad. 8) Bachman....not so much 9) Evangel trailer academy is searching for an identity 10) Bonine now knows who his daddy is.
