Port Allen beat Rayville up north already.
Lakeview is good. Who else in 2A?
Who is going to beat port allen?
Starting five
6"5 Jalen Knox
6"6 Jordan Brooks
5"10 Jisiah Fernandez
6"2 E.J Mcquillan
6"5 Aries Lewis
5"10 Frank Samuel from the bench
Jalen and Jodan are seniors.
they are not as deep as last year. There defense is still very good.
Dimario Jackson is the coach. He is very good. They only issue is that Coach Derrick Jones left and took his son Nico Jones with him. A 6"2 freshman who is probably the best freshmen in the state.

JH’s starting lineup is pretty much those exact same heights, and with a couple other 6’3 guys on the bench. Not saying at all that we’ll compete for the championship tho. If the 1 and 2 seeds are anything other than Rayville and Port Allen I’ll shocked. After Christmas break we should get a better picture of JH, as they’ve had key guys start late because of our football run, and now missing games cause of all-star games

Port Allen beat Catholic and then Plaquemine
They lost to Brusly, Liberty and Donaldsonville
ranked number 3 in 2A
I have no doubt Port Allen would beat Madison and Lakeview in playoffs

Who is some of these teams y'all lost to. Brusly, Plaquemine, Mandeville. I mean you still will go to the 28 no doubt. Unless y'all missing some key players some of them losses should have been easy wins. Some of them teams that you lost too probably won't come close to making the 28 in their class. Again maybe I'm missing the point here but I got to question some of these schools you lost to, sorry.

Noticed Port Allen isn't playing anyone in their district this year unless it wasn't put on the schedule...

They play end of year tournament. Been that way for 3 years .
Their district is very weak and hurts power points.

Senior Jalen Knox tore either MCL or ACL. He is out for the year.
His is a 6"4 four year starter. This is a very big loss. He has been a top 2 player on the team since he was a freshmen.
University High beat Port Allen 54-51 last night.
Port Allen has not been winning close games as of late.
Brusly vs Port Allen is always close. The head coach of Brusly is Kirby Loupe and used to be the head coach of Port Allen. He is a good coach that knows how to motivate his teams. Also Port Allen current coach Dimario Jackson played at Brusly for Kirby Loupe and he was an assistant to Kirby Lope at Brusly. It was a shot at the buzzer that beat Port Allen on a put back. They play again this Friday.
Also Port Allen beat Plaquemine by 28. They lost to Liberty who could easily win state. Lost to Donaldsonville by 2, and they are good.
I do not think Port Allen will be the favorite now. Losing Knox is huge. He is great on both ends of the court and a leader.

Port Allen really only plays 7 players. One they have to play now is a freshmen. He is about 6"4 and will be good. He is catching up to the speed of varsity basketball. So any foul trouble to a starter and they are in trouble.

Still going with Lakeview but do not sleep on Madison Unless you’re Rayville, teams in the Northwest always seem to be overrated by playing poor competition. Tensas is usually the 1A example of that, as they’re like always a top 5 seed, but are never legit contenders, and are usually upset in the first 3 rounds

I see now that most of their wins were against less than .500 win teams. Ill stay with Lakeview then.

JH was supposed to play them the year we made it to the semis but they got upset by East Iberville. I probably just remember that year a lot

I went to Doyle vs Springfield last night.
Doyle won 51-49
Port Allen will play them next round. And win by at least 20 points.
If Rayville plays French Settlement that will be an interesting game. I think Rayville will win but French Settlement has a chance.
