Anyone know where this information can be found? Just wanting to see the totals for coaches here for Louisiana. Good luck, really difficult to find. Maxpreps has a list but it’s national. Joel Hawkins at Southern Lab and Lake Providence I’m sure was passed by Charles Smith at Peabody maybe 1-2 years ago

I know Butch Stockton is around 740 now… don’t know if he’ll get to 800
If he does he’s gonna be real old

Leslie Gaudet is a forgotten legend. Over 1,026 wins and only 353 losses. Won over 60 games in a season twice (there were no limits on how many games you could play back then) and averaged 30 wins per season.
Coached at Pine Prairie from 1937 to 1943 and again from 1946 to 1970 (the gap due to Navy service in WWII) 1984 inductee to the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame, 1991 inductee to the National Sports Hall of Fame, 1997 inductee to the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
Retired as the winningest high school basketball coach of all-time in Louisiana and nationally, a record that stood nationally until 1993 and in the state until 2005.
AND, if you include his wins coaching the girls basketball team at Pine Prairie, he would still be the winningest coach in the state and 2nd all-time nationally. Greatest coach to never win a state title and a forgotten legend

Greatest coach to never win a state title and a forgotten legend my dad graduated from there in 1954. I met Gaudet twice, once at my grandpa’s funeral in 1986. Then again before he died at 82 in 1998
