Not a chance in you know where Rayville or Winfield is beating Port Allen. Port Allen will win Division 3.

Winnfield lost a few players with a coaching controversy. They won’t be a legit contender.

This has to be a joke Port Allen will run away with Div III (non-select) without any challenge in the playoffs imo.

I think this actually could be one of the better Port Allen teams from this run of state championships. Scorers just all over the floor and a kid that blocks just about everything in the lane. This team's athleticism is just off the charts. Oh and the Howard kid may be one of the best PG in the state that no one talks abt

They have still been winning, but are down a lot of depth. Still probably good enough to make the qtrs. But they don’t have many subs now.

Not a chance in you know where Rayville or Winfield is beating Port Allen. Port Allen will win Division 3. New year, new teams but Port Allen was fortunate to get past Winnfield last year. Stranger things have happened. That being said, the coach being changed mid year and losing a couple key players because of it definitely hurts our chances of making a run.

Port Allen is probably the second best team in the state this year, in any class. Scotlandville is the only team I think is better but that will be settled in a few weeks on the floor. They've had some close ones but I think they'll be ready for the playoffs, always are.

People forget last year was one of the weaker state title teams for Port Allen after they lost their best player to injury midway thru the season. The thing about that is it forced some of the younger guys to play bigger roles which is why they are so good this season.

Scotlandville Madison Prep Port Allen Newman My top 4 no order. Hannan might be 5th, best win of the year over Scotlandville, prep with the 2nd best win over newman I believe wossman is really good this year also Yea from what I've seen Wossman is pretty good as well. I'm looking forward to the next few weeks. We've grown up a lot with a pretty young squad. Went to BR and beat Liberty last week, go to Madison Prep, Wossman at home and I think Northwood-Lena at home coming down the stretch to see where we really are. If we can push Madison Prep a bit, it might be title game rematch. I'm just glad to see the progress, cause it was BAD early in the year.

Every player that gets any playing time on Port Allen is a good defensive player, with numerous being outstanding defensive players. I don't have the official statistics, but Aries Lewis has to average around 5 blocks a game. Port Allen causes lots of turnovers and when they decide to put full court pressure, good luck. You will need to have 3 players that are comfortable with handling the basketball.
Only one team has scored 60 or more points on them all season.
The entire starting five can score. They don't always score, but they can, and are not afraid of taking the shot.
Isaiah Howard is the point guard that someone mentioned. He is 6'3 and extremely athletic. Can finish around the rim in magical ways. He is a bigger version of Tawasky Johnson from the 2021 title team. Last year he couldn't play until January. This is his first full time varsity season and he is making the most of it.

Hornbeck is not the sleeper Gonna need to improve drastically to play with Anacoco according to the score shown so that would make Anacoco the favorite leaving Hornbeck as a sleeper to upset them by my observations. Just an opinion and I hope they upset them and win it all.

Just an opinion and I hope they upset them and win it all. I respect your opinion but I don't see it happening. Anacoco is too deep and talented for Hornbeck to hang with them. If they draw the right spot in the playoff sure they can make a run but it stop with Anacoco or Zwolle.

Following a rather suspicious drop in the rankings that has allowed ASH to move all the way up to 14 in the bracket (would love an explanation), Byrd are primed to easily win state this year. Gas up the bus because it is going to be getting a lot of miles in the upcoming weeks! No longer having to play the actually good teams in the state that exist over in non-select will give them the upper hand on inferior competition. The state championship will probably have an all-Shreveport final of Byrd vs Huntington. After only winning 2 district games, the red stickers aren't ready for what is coming. Neither is any other team. Something about being from the 318 gives you a special advantage, especially a public school in the 318. I am sure many of you remember the 2021 final of Benton vs Shreve so my prediction is not out of the picture. Of course this is all dependent on the refs, as teams south of I-10 seem to get the same treatment that the NFL gives the Chiefs.
