I wasn’t able to find a program to see what grade each kid was in. What led the dome teams have returning for next season?

The QB and RB for Calvary, arguably their best players on offense, are returning next season.

I heard Oak Grove returns 17 or 18 starters but I don’t know if that is correct or not

The QB and RB for Calvary, arguably their best players on offense, are returning next season. As does Kolby Thomas, the WR who caught the game-winner and the 2-point conversion. They lose a bulk of their tremendous receiving corps, but KT is a good piece to have back. Ruston has some big holes to fill on defense with the loss of seven senior starters, including the most decorated player in school history. LB Jadon Mayfield will be Ruston's first three-time all-state selection and has a chance to be Defensive MVP. Ruston loses its best two defensive linemen in LSU commitment Ahmad Breaux and Tulane commitment Geordan Guidry, both of whom have a case for first-team all-state. The secondary also loses cornerback Semaj Jones and safeties Nate Johnson, Jacoriyan Crowe and Ronald Findley. But they have some really good pieces returning, led by linebacker Zheric Hill and cornerback Aidan Anding. Payton Bell and Ka'varion Key return to anchor the defensive line. There are some young guys who got experience during the season and are waiting in the wings. I expect rising junior Alex Hunt, the nephew of former Ruston and LSU standout Jack Hunt, to be a great player at safety. Rising junior Kam Dean got some PT in the Dome and has a chance to be a starter at corner opposite Anding, and rising senior Zander Hayes should be on the field somewhere at either linebacker or safety. There are also some rising sopres in a talented 2027 class, including Mayfield's and Anding's younger brothers, looking to work their way on the field. Offensively, Ruston must replace four senior offensive linemen who were in the playing rotation, but rising senior center Sam Nations returns as a third-year starter and Division I prospect. He was the team's best lineman this season and arguably was as a sopre as well. There are always guys waiting in the wings ready to step in. The Bearcats had to replace four starters off last year's offensive line and won a state title plugging in new guys. They also have to replace the team's top three receivers in tight end Zhy Scott and the two standouts from Saturday, Logan Malone and Jamar Woods. But the guys returning are arguably more talented, led by 6-6 rising sopre Ahmad Hudson, who is basically a young Trey'Dez Green and got a ton of snaps yesterday. Joran Parker will be a senior, and he's a bigger target than Malone and Woods. Rising senior Darius James emerged late in the season and should play a more prominent role next year, and I would bet that Anding gets a significant amount of snaps on offense like Breaux and Mayfield did the past few years. Jerrod Baugh has never shied away from playing his best players on both sides of the ball. But the most important pieces who are returning are QB Josh Brantley and RBs Jordan "Jet" Hayes and Dylone Brooks, who will all be seniors. Brantley showed everyone what he's capable of Saturday as he won the Most Outstanding Player award. I imagine he will get more freedom and become an even bigger part of the offense as a returning starter than he did this year. Hayes rushed for more than 1,700 yards this season, and I expect he and Brooks will combine for 2,500 yards next year. I also expect rising junior fullback Lander Smith to play a bigger role on both sides of the ball next season, and it will be hard to keep rising junior Jeremiah Freeman, the third-string RB, off the field. The defense might not be as star-studded or as strong in 2024, but the offense should be even better, and the Bearcats will be back competing to repeat as state champions.

Right. What happened to the programs? I used to love looking up who the players were who are making the plays on the field, as well as to see who was returning. The dome experience is getting worse and worse.

What does Warren Easton have coming back?
Dudes beat Ruston AND Catholic in the first 2 games of the season before their season went down the toilet.

The dome experience is getting worse and worse. I was told that the program was online. Which is dumb to me. almost as dumb as buying tickets online. I was late to getting in to watch OHS vs Cecilia because of that

We will have 3 OL, TE, QB, and 3 RB’s returning on offense. On defense we will have 1 DL, 2 LBers, and 3 DB’s returning. 13 starters altogether. We also have some rotational players that got a lot of playing time also returning. If our kids hit the weight room hard this off-season, we should make another deep run.

What does Warren Easton have coming back? Dudes beat Ruston AND Catholic in the first 2 games of the season before their season went down the toilet. They are losing the QB, the best RB…and moving to the Catholic league. They’ll get in the playoffs but a much lower seed. Edna Karr has a wealth of talent returning. Will need better qb play and until they can beat the veer I can’t make them a favorite. I expect Riverside, OCS, Lab to be towards the top again in Div IV. Lab played the state title game without their best lineman and will lose their best athlete but they have some guys. They are excited for the backup qb Bottley, they like him a lot. He has prototype size. I expect Acadiana to be pretty good as well as carencro. Long as Shane Savoie is at STM o expect them to score..and score a lot

CE Byrd lost 32 seniors before last season and their youth showed managing a 4-7 record this past fall.
Maybe they can right the ship next year - they are usually in the mix in district 1-5A.

Acadiana has 15 returning starters, 8 on offense and 7 defense. With next years non district schedule I just saw the Rams will NEED that experience back, HOLY CRAP!! There's one thing I can say for sure is that McCullough and his coaching staff don't shy away from good competition.

But I get it, losing 3x to a 2A school can hurt

I am friends with a coach from LCA.LCA decided not to play Acadiana this year.I do not think it came from the coaches .They just felt they were going down to 2a and even though they are still playing a tough schedule they did not want to play as many 5a schools.

I love Acadiana vs LCA the past 5 years and the communities are very intertwined between the schools which is always great for everyone.
