Is the 14-0 Productions Page becoming just an Oak Grove Fan Page that loves the stir the pot about any and everything? I truly love some of the stuff they put out, but lately it seems like they just enjoy starting drama and making other programs look bad. Pretty chicken s**t if you ask me.

Actually glad this was bought up. I love his work, it’s the closest thing we have to record book in the state and I am appreciative of that. What he did, in particular to Jajuan Johnson was completely uncalled for l and lousy. Really not cool at all. Even the Zachary thing and what he did with Warren Easton these things aren’t called for. There’s a fine line between reporting and bashing, some of that stuff seemed personal for no reason

But we’ve seen this happen a lot. I’m sure we’ve all seen or coaches have had a kid they got in a shouting match with and it was handled in different ways. I’m in no way taking up for the kid, just don’t think it’s for the public consumption. And I get I’m kinda speaking from both sides of my mouth cause 1) he could just be reporting what he saw and that’s really not wrong…. But why him, why then? I’m sure this has been seen before.

Going on the deepest of hypotheticals here, what if LSU said they no longer wanted his commit. All over a stinking video. Again just a hypothetical.

Ju’Juan has gotten a lot of attention and with that, an enormous spotlight. He had a record setting performance in last years title game, and basically was denied a championship on a sequence of Hail Mary, on side kick recovery, Hail Mary. The year prior, his team lost the game on a punt snap over the punter’s head recovered for a TD to win the game. On the possession immediately preceding this pick 6, had thrown a perfect pass after escaping a rush that would have put his team up 21-0, and it was dropped. Which was followed by a TD drive to make the game 14-7….and then this pick 6. He wanted to win this game more than anyone can imagine. Obviously the frustration level was off the charts. LCA could have stayed in 2A and probably won a couple titles and sent him off to LSU. They were playing in this game (and last years game) because of him. Not just the championship game, but the Division 2 championship game. His reaction when the ball was intercepted was obviously egregious. But grown men continuing to pile on this kid for a reaction in what is likely the lowest moment in his YOUNG sports life has gotten WAY out of hand. I think a whole lot of adult people need to take a step back and look in the mirror and remember we are adults talking about a kid’s game. These kids aren’t receiving any benefits at all while out there performing for our entertainment. Again, his reaction in that moment left a lot to be desired. The reaction (by adults) here and on other social media outlets has become borderline disgusting. If anyone reading this is one of the ones perpetuating it….be better. The kid has taken ownership of his mistake. It’s over.

I want to step in and defend Ju'Juan Johnson for a minute. Is he perfect? No. None of us are. I can't imagine how you or I would handle the spotlight he's been under during his career, especially as he chased and broke the all-time total yardage and career TD records. Did he make some mistakes along the way, allow his temper to get the better of him? Sure. But I sure as hell did, too, when I was that age, and I was playing pickup basketball and flag football that didn't mean a thing.
I went to the LCA-Ruston game, and I wanted to interview Ju'Juan after that game. By the time I finished with my Ruston interviews, though, he was off the field and I couldn't find him. So when I went down to LCA for the Week 10 showdown against STM, I was determined to talk to him after the game. When I finished with my STM interviews, Ju'Juan had left the field and headed back to the locker room already. So I went to the locker room and requested an interview. He didn't have to say yes. But he did. And he answered every question like a seasoned vet. He didn't dodge any questions. He didn't make any excuses. He gave credit to his opponents, said some pretty glowing things about Sam Altmann that day. I was very impressed with his composure and willingness to speak after such a heartbreaking loss.
Flash forward to the Superdome. Again, he was denied a state championship, finishing as runner-up for the third straight season. His final game, a loss. No matter how decorated he is and how great his career has been, it's missing a state championship with him as the full-time starter and go-to player. But he didn't pout during the post-game interview. A lot of time, you don't get much from the players from the losing team. They obviously are dejected and not in any mood to give deep, reflective answers from the game. But Ju'Juan again faced the music. He didn't have to. But he did. And I was again thoroughly impressed with his ability to do that so soon after such a tough loss to end his high-school career.
Those of you who continue to say negative things about the kid because of a few missteps on the playing field, about how it's somehow emblematic of him going to be a failure at the next level, you're not looking at the other things that he does that show how composed he is and how mature he can be at times. I think Ju'Juan has all the talent in the world to be a great player on Saturdays and eventually have a chance to play on Sundays.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought that this weekend. There was about 3-4 posts he made this weekend that I felt were unnecessary. I don’t know why, but he posted a video of some kids having a hard time trying to get some footballs down out of the net and that really ticked me off.

You should probably take that up with Ray. Maybe respond to one of those posts you don't agree with on twitter/X/whatever it's called now. I can understand not agreeing with someone online especially when they make a public post on social media. But the last time I checked, 14-0 productions wasn't a publicly-owned or run company. If he wants to have an Oak Grove-centric website, or post controversial takes online that's his choice and there's nothing wrong with that.

Ray is a great guy and definitely an OG homer. He goes through great lengths and long hours with 14-0. He has earned the right to be opinionated! If anyone disagrees they have options, don’t read it or start your own La high school football history website. Geez

But the reaction he has received on this board is mild compared to the "pile on" he will get from LSU fans if he messes up on a big play and then shows an attitude. This board is a bowl of peaches and cream compared to Tiger Rant.
Maybe he will learn from this situation and if he does he will be better off for it. I certainly wish him the best at the next level.

And the difference between being piled on now vs then is that he’s playing high school football, basically for the entertainment of others. Once at LSU, he’ll be receiving a free education, free health care, free room and board, and likely be being paid via a NIL deal to perform on the field. At that point, it’s a whole different ball game

Actually it’s an Oak grove site that turned into a Louisiana sports page. Ray bleeds OG and yes he is a homer. However, he does a great job of promoting other schools as well. Probably a little heavier on the Non-Select side than Select but, he sprinkles enough of those in too. If you think you can do better, all you have to do is log into Godaddy and set your own page up.

What he did, in particular to Jajuan Johnson was completely uncalled for l and lousy. Really not cool at all. Even the Zachary thing and what he did with Warren Easton these things aren’t called for. There’s a fine line between reporting and bashing, some of that stuff seemed personal for no reason I’m okay with what gets said about programs, as long as one kid in particular isn’t singled out unfairly as breaking rules he didn’t break. For example the criticism of Warren Easton was a criticism of their adult leadership which is fair. And when we do talk about kids in the course of discourse about high school ball, it’s kids like Arch, Jujuan, and TreyDez, kids who will be public figures already in high school thanks to the recruiting media. They’ll have big NIL money even still in high school. I very rarely hear criticism of kids below that tier of stardom unless it’s something that’s so egregious that it’s warranted. And I don’t consider scouting reports on what kids can do on the field, court, etc. criticism. What they can or can’t do in a public venue is for public consumption.
