No official nominations from LCA yet but I have been getting stuff for some from MaxPreps I will officially send LCA people then. QB/ATH - Ju'Juan Johnson - SR3,628 Passing Yards - 41 TD - 13 INT 1,502 Rushing Yards - 25 TD 5,149 Total Yards - 66 Total TD RB - Jalen Noel - JR1,283 Rushing Yards - 14 TD 518 Receiving Yards - 6 TD 1,820 Total Yards - 20 TD WR - Treanders "TJ" Marzell - SR855 Receiving Yards - 12 TD 877 Total Yards - 13 TD OL - Britt Miller - JR10 pancakes Britt became an island this season in pass protection often matching against the toughest DL player the opposing team had due to them avoiding Trevor Jeffery on the other side. Britt dominated all season long becoming an anchor for one of the best offenses in the state and helped create for 2 1,200+ Yard Rushers this season. OL - Trevor Jeffery - SR13 Pancakes Trevor IS the island for the LCA O-Line. The leader of the line and the most aggressive. Teams had to scheme around Trevor due to the fact he will eliminate whoever is lined up against him. Beyond just his pass sets and head up blocking ability, Trevor excels at next level blocking and even 3rd level blocking, often times pulling from LT across and leading into the hole finding a Linebacker or Safety. OL - Kaleb Campbell - Soph7 Pancakes The 6'7-290lb giant of a LG that really throws his weight around and can move on a pulling play. This is Kaleb's first year starting and he really grew quickly into the role, learning to use his size throughout the year to go with his already great hands. There wasn't anyone he lined up against all year that got the best of him consistently. Then add to this the ability to pull at this size in one of the fastest offenses in the state. DL - Melvin Hills - SR80 Total Tackles 22.5 TFL 14.5 Sacks 34 QB Hurries LB - Sam Taylor - SR148 Total Tackles 13.5 TFL 3 Sacks 1 INT 2 TD DB - Ty Lee - SR83 Total Tackles 6.5 TFL 4 FF 1 Sack 2 INT 6 PD DB - Chris Helaire - JR43 Total Tackles 6 INT 14 PD 1 FF 1 FR 2 Def TD

Looking at MaxPreps, Sam Taylor could even have a case at punter with a 41.8 average He’s highly underrated as a punter because he’s such a good LB. That and he doesnt even punt 1x a game lol, but yes, he averages around 4.4/s Hangtime and 40+ yards is very good. He had a 60 yarder this year too.

Sorry, RB had 16 TDs. Sacks are part of TFLs, they don't separate them.

who doesnt separate them? thats egregious imo, so a kid who got a sack cant say he had x amount of sacks because they dont want to separate them from TFL?
1 sack = 1 Solo Tackle + 1 TFL + 1 Sack
3 Stats in 1 play is how it should be recorded, anyone not doing that is doing a disservice to the kids and their community from being able to celebrate greatness.

Having been a statistician as well, I would agree. If a player records a sack, it is also recorded as a tackle and tackle for loss as well. Halves of those stats if shared with another player. Deacon Jones rolling over in his grave lol

I don’t have any stats, but I would like to recommend a few players from Ruston for All State.
Offense: Jordan Hayes — RB — JR Sam Nations — OL — JR Zhy Scott — TE — SR Josh Brantley — QB — JR
Defense: Ahmad Breaux — DL — SR Geordan Guidry — DL — SR Jadon Mayfield — LB — SR Zheric Hill — LB — JR Semaj Jones — DB — SR Aiden Anding — DB — JR Nate Johnson — DB — SR
I could nominate several more for which I think are deserving, but the above players were either 1st Team or Honorable Mention All State.

how does the LSL team work? is it voted on? Moderators make the list? is it just Fireman firing shots on a dart board with all the names on it?

I think the users vote on it in a poll that gets posted for each position We used to do it like that, but the poll would get flooded with homers joining the board specifically to vote for their school's guy. Had Like 8 first teamers from a quarterfinal team one year doing it like this.
