Seems a little longer than usual.
I was updating the next edition of the rankings and noticed some oddities. Edna Karr's loss to John Curtis last week wasn't listed on either power ratings' site. Neither was LaGrange vs. Pineville from a few days ago. Lafayette High and LCA played Saturday. I believe LCA won by a few points in overtime, but the score has never been reported. I'm assuming they decided to play it as an exhibition. I think Avoyelles Public Charter at Peabody was an exhibition (Hall of Fame game).

Regarding my earlier post, it seems that the LaGrange/Pineville game a make-up of a postponed game. I think the result is listed at the originally scheduled date. Also, I have an article on two CHS seniors coming soon to the local newspaper.

CHS-NI got a tough draw on same side as Dunham and UHigh but both are beatable.
Possible STM vs Huntington/Bonnabel winner 2nd rd is fantastic
Potential Karr vs St Aug 2nd rd is good too.
If Shreve plays McKinley 2nd rd could be an upset. McKinley battle tested.
Curtis vs Catholic(BR) should be great, winner gets liberty.

I think SDIII could see any of the top 8 seeds make a finals run and no one would really be shocked. It’s a stacked bracket.

I know we’ve been on your first few out the last few rankings. They’ve hit their stride and are playing some great ball right now. Would be interesting to see the opinion surrounding them had the 2 pt losses to NISH and STM gone the other way.

I was at the STM/CHS game. Saw a lot of basketball that week. There are some interesting local playoff games. Next Tuesday, looks like Scotlandville could be at Lafayette High. I'm really big on both teams although they've lost a few lately.

Was at CHS earlier. The coach asked if I had heard about them being ranked in the top 25. lol

I would think Catholic of BR wins first round and goes down valiantly to Liberty. The Patriots persevere by 10 points.
Liberty has a ton of talent and are well coached. Very hungry team due to last year's nonsense.

Very hungry team due to last year's nonsense. Good chance I may check this one out. Coworker son plays for Curtis. Saw Coach Jones yesterday, didn’t speak he was in a conversation. I think that’s the best game Friday. Liberty is very focused, squandered an opportunity last year. I was shocked they weren’t the 1 seed then recalled STM has only 1 loss.

One loss in state I should add which was to Wossman. Other losses to two of the top 4 teams in Mississippi, one to the top ranked team in Alabama, and one to a top 7 team in Kentucky.

Very hungry team due to last year's nonsense. Liberty is the team I would pick to win a one-game playoff (out of the teams I've seen live this year). St. Thomas More has been the most consistent team, especially down the stretch, but their schedule wasn't as rough as Liberty's towards the end of the regular season. Teams I've seen in person: Liberty, New Iberia, St. Thomas More, Southside, Lafayette High, Lafayette Christian, George Washington Carver, Pineville, Isidore Newman, Brother Martin, Carencro, Ville Platte, Mamou,Vandebilt Catholic, St. Thomas Aquinas, Iowa, Beau Chene, Northwest, Crowley, Patterson, Loreauville, Catholic-New Iberia, North Central, Franklin, Scotlandville, David Thibodaux, Teurlings Catholic, St Martinville, Acadiana, St. Louis Catholic, Bossier, Cecilia, Jehovah-Jireh, Covenant Christian, Erath, Highland Baptist, Episcopal School of Acadiana. Looking forward to checking out more at the Top 28.

To add I don’t get to recoup expenses and many of my hired gigs are local. Or I would travel to more games, but I also have a car with 206,000 miles lol
