Hearing it more than coaches out. Word is multiple teachers are leaving at end of year also. Whats going on in Natchitoches? Two head football coaches leaving, and now a school with good history losing people?
As for St Mary's, they have always been highly competitive in every sport I've known them to compete in whether they had a lot of kids or not. I have heard that they are having enrollment issues lately and that this year's senior boys class graduating will cause them to be down for a while in all sports but it's nothing they haven't been through before I wouldn't think. If they are also losing teachers, that may be a more real issue for them than losing coaches.
As for Natchitoches Central, I honestly think last year was their chance to make a move up in football and while they were certainly improved they still fell flat on their face. They are on their 5th or 6th head coach since 2017 I think. I am starting to think that situation goes way beyond coaching and more to culture in the community. There's no way a school with that much talent and that many resources can be that bad for that long. Curtis may have been smart to get out when he did, regardless of what the reason was.
York left because all the talent is gone.
Yes St. Mary’s is losing teachers and coaches.
Curtis left because of a relationship he’s in with a woman in the Lafayette area.
There you go!!
