the most important in recent memory....
Vote to change from a simple majority to two thirds required to pass an amendment. This will pretty much lock us in where we are....it will be very difficult to get two thirds to agree on anything controversial.

You are right, this could make the already self serving majority have their way a lot easier. But, the democratics under did the same thing and now it could bite themselves in the in a real bad way. Just saying

Just saying you think it'll be easier to get 2/3 than 1/2?

Just saying you think it'll be easier to get 2/3 than 1/2? My bad, I thought it was 2/3 voting to make it a simple majority. Truth is the nut job principals are gonna figure out a way to do what they want no matter what the constitution or bylaws say. And if comes down to a screwing the privates vote they have a 2/3 built in advantage. It is what it is

Bonine seemed to be pushing it at the area meetings, he says most associations are 2/3. Brings more stability

the split faction has usually been getting between 57% and 65% on the issues pertaining to it... maybe now Bonine is admitting that what we have now is what we'll continue to have?
