I saw they were recently #1 in the 2A poll before losing this weekend.

Sterlington blew out Caldwell 49-16. They are 4-0. Good team and well coached.

They are real good. Special RB, big and physical in the trenches. Well coached.

Real good team, have to be an early favorite to make it to the dome.

Sterlington is good enough to take the championship in non select. Would be a different story if the class was combined.

I watched Riverside beat a very good 4A Plaquemine team Friday night and right down the street St Charles destroyed 5A Central. The scary thing is that Notre Dame is probably better than both of them. To say I was looking forward to watching Select 2A playoffs would be a huge understatement.

Sterlington wil make a run at the Dome in 2A Non-Select. They are good on both sides of the ball and are physical enough to match up with Many even though we may not have as many athletes. First things first though. Have to get through a very strong district schedule.

Good physical well coached team. With that said, both sides of 2A look extremely stacked this year. Should be a great playoffs.

At best, I'd say they are the 4th best team in 2A. Of course, that is with the Select and Non-select combined.

To early to tell with them. The teams they have played have 4 wins total and all have given up more than 30 pts. a game on average. We will know more when they play Rayville, Mangham, and OCS.

Love Sterlington and love what Coach Thompson is doing with the program. I had family that played there and they are my second favorite team, but I am a bit hesitant to crown them just yet. I agree that OCS and Mangham mostly will show us what the Panthers are really made of.

Even at 1-3 in predistrict the dark horse in this district could be Rayville.. gotta pull for my Panthers though.
