Great respect for both programs. Since both went to the semis in their respective class/division, who would win if they played this year?

U-High has some very impressive wins this year. They destroyed 3 teams that are the finals this year: Catholic BR 34-6 Zachary 26-7 West Fel. 63-35 So, yes Zachary should know. They beat WM and if U-High blasted them, then I would assume that they could beat WM

U-High has some very impressive wins this year. Indeed they do. I will get to see them against DeLeSalle and that amazing sopre defensive tackle they have. That is the most interesting matchup this coming up weekend in my mind. There is an appeal to the lakeshore/Karr game because of the newness of lakeshore. I have no clue to where they came from and how they got here. Seems overnight but dominating too. Very surreal story.

Did you know that Maxpreps has them ranked #1 and #2, respectively, in the entire state (all classes)? That's the game I'm looking forward to. As far as Lakeshore is concerned. They are the "new kids on the block" in St. Tammany Parish. This senior class had their bumps and bruises over the past 3 years, but everyone on the Northshore knew that this would be their year. We all seen it coming the past couple of years. They are a newer school with Great facilities. Some say that This is that one special year where all the seniors came together, but others say that you can expect theses types of teams from Lakeshore from now on. I think they have like 65 acres of property and they are developing a tremendous football program up there. We will see in the following years.

It is very intriguing to see the zachary's and Lakeshore's of the world bringing new blood to dynasty type potential in louisiana. It was needed in my mind. Karr came on the scene about a decade ago themselves. With the select schools growing in strength as programs across the board it is good to see a couple of big public schools doing likewise. I believe lakeshore will shock a lot of people and beat karr. Any team that can score 55 points on neville has my undivided attention.

I was at the Lakeshore vs Rayne game and for them to shut Rayne out was very impressive. Im big on Lakeshore, but I'm not 100% sure that they can handle Karr's speed and athleticism for 4 quarters. As impressive as Lakeshore is, I don't think they faced a team like Karr this year. I believe that had Karr played Neville this year, the score would have been similiar to the Lakeshore score. Karr's only loss this season was by 2 points to De La Salle, in a game some say they could have won. The only thing that I feel gives Lakeshore a great chance is that Karr's defense is VERY INCONSISTENT and when they are struggling, they struggle badly. Lakeshore might be able to capitalize on a few mistakes and pull off the win.

Karr will slow it down but not stop it. The QB for lakeshore from everything I know is fast as lightning with accuracy for an arm able to read progressions quickly. Their defense, if it shows up and contains Karr, will allow their offense to have enough time to do their work. To me the game will come down to Lakeshore's defense. If they allow Karr to punish them with the run game they will definitely lose. Just my two cents. I also will enjoy seeing whether pooka can do what bolden could not do against a very stout zachary front. Bolden was absolutely bottled up. If pooka gets an insane 300 or even 200 poop even 100 yards against that defense I will be highly imoressed.

Pooka will get 100 by halftime Lol The top may pop off of the dome if he puts up video game stats against that defense. Place will come unglued. Salt is going to have some new looks for pooka I'm sure to rattle zachary early. Maybe different formations with similar plays out of them for pooka. Zachary has two impressive linebackers who are good but I don't think they have seen anything like what they will see on saturday.

I AGREE! and don't forget about the "Pooka pass" just to keep the Zachary defense "honest" lol. ........even tho the Pooka halfback pass has been highly unsuccessful all year long.

Hahnville gets you with that qb who keeps teams honest. He doesn't get enough love. Jackson is one helluva athlete himself. The combination of those two make it hard to stop. During playoffs you see the best talent step up. We saw it last year with Keytaon Thompson.

Just wondering that if the two Northern powers faces off this year, who would prevail. Honestly, I think it would be a good game. I'm not sure what happened at Evangel the last 2 games, but that wasn't the same team that was on the field during the season. I'm sure they will be right back in the hunt next year.

I'd have to put my money on WestMonroe if the game were played late in this season. Had they played earlier in the season, I think ECA would have handled business. Whatever happened with ECA happened later in the season.

You forget West Monroe also had a poor performance against a very mediocre Ouachita team at home where they won 14-13. In that game Ouachita exposed some serious flaws in Bolden ability to pass against man coverage.
Ruston was tied also 14-14 until they had a botched punt late in the third that gave west monroe and easy td. Evangel's defense would shut them out. Problem is Evangel may not score either lol. So it is a toss up to special teams and turnovers.

So what was the huge QB controversy about last year in the champiobship game between Foust and Bolden? Wasn't a bunch of Rebel fans screaming that Bolden should have played QB, meaning that some felt he was better than Foust, the QB who obviously had a better arm? You had rebel fans pleading their case for both QBs. So my question is, is Bolden a legitment QB or not?

All year long (last year)they ran a 2 qb system. Usually started with Bolden running ball and would go to Foust around 3rd series. I️ saw them switch Qb 2-3 times in a single series before. It worked. In game last year we got behind couple of scores so what do you do? Throw the ball. I️ wished they would have been able to work Khanman in this year like foust was last year. Hard to change when your beating great teams with Bolden all the time. Here’s what a lot of folks like you need to understand. I’m a rebel fan all the way but I️ do realize there are some teams out there better than us. There are alot of WM fans that just can’t admit that so they play the blame game.

In the ehret game he was awesome. Against Ouachita he was horrible. Against zachary even worse. Many rebel fans wanted Foust last year as the starter. I know fans right now who want a new head coach. And I did not realize how old Arledge was until today. 75 years old. They need new blood out there. Brewerton would actually be the perfect fit and he would likely take the job if offered. Problem is they will keep everything I'm house and not hire from without but from within. They will end up like ruston and Ouachita in the next 5 years as both those programs did the exact thing I believe west monroe will do. Funny, shows was an outsider too. Breaking that yoke is hard to do. Their staff is littered with who's who former rebels and sons.

A change is exactly what it means, CHANGE. You can't expect a big time ball coach to take over a program and swallow what the issue is. You have the kids you have, coaches are unfortunately the only thing that gets to change. One man can't do it by himself and having the men he trusts is extremely important. You either want to be great or you don't.
